I just read that Richards and Romero are the new tag champions. Why would ROH book Jacobs and Black to lose the belts so quickly?

Maybe some competition amongst the gangs of ROH? Although I liked the sounds of AOTF as tag champs.

Gabe seems to be going with the Dragon Gate approach and the titles will probably change hands among the different stables.

I don't like the change at all. But conditioning the fans is something Gabe has to do to keep his booking different at all times. Fans figured AOTF would have a long reign so they did the quick switch. I expect to see Steen & Generico win the belts in Long Island.

They are facing Strong & Richards, not Richards & Romero. If Generico & Steen win they will earn a future title shot.

God, I hope Steenerico get the belts, ive been hoping for that ever since they killed themselves vs. The Briscoes and didnt get anything out of the feud.

ROH is known for longer title reigns, so I think Gabe does this to keep the fans on their toes. How many people expected the Briscoes to lose the belts in their first defense in '07 during the 5YF?

I expected AOTF to lose the titles rather quickly. I expected it to be back to the Briscoes though. I actually like these changes. While I do think AOTF should of had a longer title run it does make it look like the titles can change at any given time which makes the stables wars a lot more fun so I for one don't mind this change.

Not awesome. Romero's a queer. I guarantee in a year you're going to love him and 'forget' you ever said that.

makes sense to change the belts to me. after having such a long briscoe's reign hot shotting them around for a while will keep things fresh before leading to another longish reign in the end.
also it makes every team look like a threat which roh failed to do last year with only el generico and kevin steen being legitimate contenders for the titles.
also this can play into the age of the falls gimmick, with them being screwed by people, and society - roh stacking the odds against them by booking them in a title match with 3 opponents etc. etc.
plus richards and romero had solid years last year and it's nice for them to be rewarded with a title reign.
oh and btw it was ricky reyes who was romeros partner in the havana pitbulls.
