NHL 08 can seriously aggravate the  out of me. I'm in the playoffs in my Rangers dynasty playing the Lightning and it is absolutely damn near impossible to score on Marc Denis. I swear to God, it's like he's Roberto Luongo or something. I'll have 40+ shots on him and wind up with 2 goals, but the Lightning will get 20 shots on Lundqvist and get 4 goals. The last game was the most ridiculous. I somehow managed to score 3 unanswered goals and took a 3-1 lead. Seconds after I scored the 3rd goal, a guy on the Lightning skates into my defensive zone to get the puck near the boards and as he skates NEAR the goalie without even taking a shot the puck somehow manages to go in. They then proceed to go on and score 4 unanswered goals all in the 3rd period. I just turned the game off and didn't even bother to save. It's ridiculous the way the AI goalie is made in EA's games. It pisses me off tremendously because All-Star is actually a perfect setting for me outside of the fact that there's a huge difference between the skills of your goalie vs. the AI goalie. |

The AI goalie is a machine. It could be Kevin Weekes in net, but he's a machine. You could have Luongo or Brodeur in net, but it really won't matter. |

I don't understand why EA doesn't fix this when it's a reoccuring problem in every NHL game. If I have 40 shots registered on goal, chances are a majority of them are good to great scoring chances that I get robbed on. But when it's my goalie, he'll get beat by the EASIEST shots that he should stop, and then he'll make saves on breakaways and shots he should get beaten on. It's just too unequal. |

This was unbelievable.
I beat the Lightning in Game 3 after Denis let in 4 goals on around 30 - 40 shots. I now have a 3-1 series lead and go back to the Garden with a chance to win it.
I wind up losing 5-4 in OT after I outshot Tampa 75 to 32. SEVENTY-FIVE SHOTS and I lose the game?! WTF?
Absolutely ridiculous. Again, I just turned the damn thing off without saving.

Heatley leads the league with 126 points and no games left to play. Gabby has 122 points. I so want Gabby to have a six point game and win the Art Ross.
Really I'd like him to have a seven point game - all goals. Then he has 93 goals, beating Gretzky's record.
But I'm mainly focused on six points right now for the Art Ross.
Be pretty wicked.

Bummer. Gabby finished one point behind Heatley in the standings. What's worse? He got injured in Game 1 of the playoffs against Columbus - post concussion syndrome. He's finished until the offseason. But Rolston's stepping it up. 'Bout time. He did nothing for the last quarter of the season. He has 3 goals and 5 assists in four playoff games. We swept the Jackets, now we're up against Calgary. Saku Koivu had a hat trick in game four. The top line of Rolston-S. Koivu-Bouchard is clicking like crazy. But still. No Gabby. Hasek. He was always a d-bag. |
