2K8 isn't bad by any means. The graphics are just a little worse, and you have to actually learn some button combos.

Yeah, so I got 2k8. It's not a bad game at all. The controls take some getting used to, but the superstar moves are awesome. I'm all about the Owen Nolan 'Shot Caller.'
And hey, my goalies are actually making saves! So thumbs up there.

The one consistent thing between NHL 08 and 2k8 is the fact that I can't get good goaltending from Toskala. Raycroft is taking the number one spot in 2k8, and he did in 08 as well.
In the Leafs franchise, we're 2-3-2.. so yeah, we're only doing as well as the actual Leafs right now.

I picked up 2k8 a couple of days ago, and yeah, if you can find it cheap I definitely reccomend it.
And T'Pod, I was saying the exact same thing to my roomate last week. Toskala is just hopeless in 08, but I found that k8 was an improvement.
But all in all, I'll have to say 08 is the better all around game, sans the annoying freezes.

Just had an intense game online in 08. I was leading 1-0 then the guy I was playing had 2 unanswered goals. Then with 47 seconds left in the 3rd I scored a goal with Lupul and then in OT Briere had the game winning goal. Hasek couldn't handle the deke.

Started a franchise with the Wings.
Hell froze over as I signed FA Peter Forsberg to a 2 year, 5 million dollar deal.
He'll play in Grand Rapids for a week for conditioning.
