Especially in New York? Is Ring Of Honor any good? Yea I sound like a newbie Im considering going to their 6th aniversary show, but dont even know anybody on the card. What are the crowds like? Do they let people drink in the venue? I also heard of some fed called PWS in New York. They have a show at the end of this month where the Main Event is Sabu vs. Sandman

ROH is good, but, I like FIP:Full Impact Pro and if I were you I would get the Cage of Pain Black Market vs. Heartbreak Express from FIP, it's a great match.

CHIKARA has the best stuff going today. Definitely check it out. They usually run in South Eastern PA.

NYC always has the best ROH shows so giving them a shot would be worth it. You should also check out JAPW. It runs in Jersey but both the venues they run in at Rahway & Jersey City are VERY easy to get to from New York as the train station is very close to both buildings they run at. They use a lot of talent I'm sure you're familar with like Low Ki, LAX, Teddy Hart, Jay Lethal & Frankie Kazaran and as well as other top indy names. Their shows are very fun and everyone who attends live shows are never disappointed. People will bitch about it on this board but it's all coming from people who never attended live shows.
PWS also looks like they run good shows but I've never been to one. PWS is a lot like JAPW light so if you think their show looks good I suggest giving JAPW a shot. Once you get into indy wrestling you will never look at mainstream wrestling the same again.

Are you kidding me? Ring of Honor is my favorite promotion. I highly recommend going to their Sixth Anniversary Show, you will NOT regret it. They put on some of the best shows I've seen. Highest recommendation possible.

ROH does offer probably the best indy action wrestling in the U.S. Just because you never heard of any of the guys does not mean that the show will be bad.

I'll be a SoCal mark and say "Go pick up some PWG at Highspots".
Highspots always runs very very VERY good PWG deals...right now they've got four of their latest shows going for $39.99.
As in, all four shows for $39.99.
They've run 3 for $19.99 sales in the past, too. They've also ran "Buy Three Regular Shows, Get a Bonus Show" sale too, and some of the older PWG shows can be found in Highspot's "$10 and Under" section for, roughly, $8.
I'm sure diehard PWG fans could provide a laundry list of great shows you should absolutely get...I just wanted to point PWG out.
