Well during his political days, he was accused and admitted to soliciting sex from underage girls, as well as being in many sex scandals. Seriously? I never heard that....

Karl Anderson in NJC; updated cards by Stuart - 27 Feb 2008 New Japan's re-entry into the NWA sees long-time L.A. Dojo star, Karl "The Machine Gun" Anderson hit Japan, making his debut for the company during the upcoming "CIRCUIT 2008 NEW JAPAN CUP ~WHO IS THE HIGHEST~". Anderson goes right into the NJC tournament, replacing the injured Yuji Nagata to face Koji Kanemoto in the first round, so this is a very big opportunity for him. Updated cards up to 3/19 Hamamatsu.
what a replacement............

Makes sense since he is half of the NWA tag champs and NJPW did just rejoin up with the NWA. Maybe not who people wanted but he won't win anyway.

Most of the federations are run by active wrestlers so you don't really need a dirt sheet to figure out who has pull.

I don't want to say "run". Muto doesn't book for AJPW, nor does Misawa.

I don't want to say "run". Muto doesn't book for AJPW, nor does Misawa. On January 11, 2002, following the end of a year long cross-promotional angle with New Japan Pro Wrestling, Keiji Muto shocked the Japanese wrestling world by defecting to All-Japan as a full-time competitor, taking Satoshi Kojima and Kendo Kashin with him. On September 30, 2002, during an All Japan 30th Anniversary party at the famed Tokyo City Hotel, Mrs. Baba officially announced Muto's appointment as the new president of All Japan, transferring all of the Baba family stock to him. Despite this position, however, Muto has not stopped wrestling full-time for All Japan, and lead his supporters in feuds with the Voodoo Murders. all of Baba's stock? hmmmm ima say that would qualify as 'running' the promotion. Following the death of AJPW head booker Giant Baba, Misawa inherited the position of AJPW president. After disagreements with widow Motoko Baba and being removed by a board of executives in 2000, Misawa left All Japan in May 2000; with him followed all but two natives (Toshiaki Kawada and Masanobu Fuchi) & 1 non-native (Stan Hansen) to form Pro Wrestling NOAH. NOAH debuted (billed as "DEPARTURE") on August 5 and 6, 2000, as the shows featured the 23 other wrestlers that had resigned from All-Japan. On July 18, 2004, Misawa returned to All-Japan and defeated Satoshi Kojima at Battle Banquet; he would return once more on October 31, 2004 for the Keiji Mutoh: Love and Bump pay-per-view event, where he (along with Keiji Mutoh) defeated Hiroshi Hase and Kensuke Sasaki in what was billed as a "Special Dream Tag Match Misawa left and MADE NOAH so i would also think he makes all the decisions.

There are others who run the companies. Fuchi books AJPW. Muto doesn't like to make any decisions talent-wise, because he himself is a wrestler. Ryu Nakata runs a lot of stuff in NOAH as well as Mitsuo Momota and Akira Taue. Misawa used to book NOAH but does not currently.

results suckas. Takashi Uwano called it a day on his career today, retiring in the spot he has spent much of his wrestling life - the opening match. For one last time, Uwano educated a youngster, beating fellow Choshu trainee, Kuniyoshi Wada, with a German suplex hold. Uwano was given a send-off and Choshu wished him luck him in next life away from wrestling. Today's show was vintage LOCK UP, with wrestlers from all over Japan's scene mixing with New Japan big leaguers, the main event seeing the "VBH" trio of Makabe, Yano & TARU defeating what was an Apache trio before the company demise of Tetsuhiro Kuroda, Mammoth Sasaki & Takashi Sasaki. Mitsuya Nagai also followed Yoshie and Takemura in returning to a New Japan mat, representing DRADITION in the semi final. After the show, Choshu said the gates of LOCK UP were opening even wider and spoke of the possibility of Tatsumi Fujinami and Atsushi Onita entering the brand soon. LOCK UP, 2/29/08 (Samurai! TV) Matsushita IMP Hall 850 Fans - No Vacancy 1. Takashi Uwano Retirement Match: Takashi Uwano beat Kuniyoshi Wada (12:31) with a German suplex hold. 2. Daisuke Sekimoto & Katsumasa Inoue beat Yujiro & Taichi Ishikari (12:59) when Sekimoto used a German suplex hold on Ishikari. 3. Jado & Gedo beat GENTARO & Yusaka Obata (13:06) when Jado used the Crossface of JADO on Obata. 4. Tomohiro Ishii & Tomoaki Honma vs. Zero & GAINA went to a double DQ (13:32). 5. Riki Choshu & Shiro Koshinaka beat Mitsuya Nagai & Arashi (6:35) when Choshu used a lariat on Arashi. 6. Togi Makabe, Toru Yano & TARU beat Tetsuhiro Kuroda, Mammoth Sasaki & Takashi Sasaki (15:55) when Makabe used a top rope King Kong kneedrop on Takashi Sasaki.
