Does anyone know if Kawada and Misawa have true heat on each other. I heard the story goes that as Misawa went to NOAH in 2000, he asked Kawada to come but he declined, and from then on they have had heat with each other. This kind of surprised me when I was reading the story because of the great match they had together in 2004. Thanks for the help.

They have had heat for a long time. Bad business started it from the time Misawa was president of AJPW.
And they didn't have a match in 2004, it was in 2005.

The older matches are overrated by everyone. I actually liked their 2005n match. The reason why not everyone liked it is because it was overshadowed by a great Kobashi/Sasaki match. It would have been hard to top that match.

woah what happened to my post? may have deleted it by accident. But yeah I'm not saying the Kawada/Misawa Destiny match was bad, I just liked their previous encounters.
Oh and Kobashi/Sasaki was awesome. Agreed with you James, that overshadowed the main event.

I actually really liked the match, but I think their match from 1994 could be one of the greatest matchs ever. It was a really, really awesome match.

I love all of the Misawa vs. Kawada matches. Every one of them have something great to them. Believe it or not their match from 2005 is one of my top favorites. Just seeing Kawada beat the crapout of Misawa the whole match made me smile.

Where do you guys think Dynamite Kid/Tiger Mask rank as far as Puro wrestling goes? I know they were ahead of their time. But how does it stack up with the best in your opinions?

Dynamite Kid is one of the all time greats. But Tiger Mask is hard to tell, because the Tiger Mask franchise has always been insanely popular.

Could be true or it might not be.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Tomko wasn't re-signed with New Japan Pro Wrestling because they are struggling financially.

Tomko said in an interveiw that he just wanted to work for IGF instead of NJPW since they don't have as many shows.

They have less shows with less people attending them. Seems like a bad idea by Tomko.

They have less shows with less people attending them. Seems like a bad idea by Tomko. Not necissarily... he probably feels his TNA time is more important and can't really do the number of shows NJPW runs and do all his TNA stuff
