I don't consider a loss a loss unless you get pinned.

I like all of Muta's attires, really. But I prefer the classic ones.
What guys would you like to see NJPW pick up for gaijins?
I'd like to see Davey Richards, Tomko permanently, and Abyss. I know those won't happen, but NJPW's current gaijin roster is pretty damn awesome.

Anyone else think it is weird that AJPW did a show with the PLAYBOY CHANNEL JAPAN. Those two things just don't go together.

Got a load of craphere, guys. We are on the eve of what could be one of the most important New Japan shows of the last few years. Can Shinsuke Nakamura do the impossible and unify his IWGP Heavyweight Title (2nd generation belt) with Kurt Angle's IWGP 3rd Belt, or will the Olympic gold medalist and global superstar defeat the young supernova and take another New Japan title hostage? Angle arrived at Narita Airport today, sounding ready for war. The IWGP 3rd Belt and TNA Heavyweight Title holder said he is in top condition and after he sleeps off some of his flight tiredness, will be in prime shape to plunder Nakamura's 2nd generation belt. Angle said Nakamura is young and a great prospect, but considers Yuji Nagata to be New Japan's number one wrestler, and since he already beat Nagata, feels he is stepping down a level by facing the younger Nakamura. Angle said it is still too early for Nakamura to compete with him. The interviewer pointed out that Nakamura has been using a double-arm piledriver and suggested he could use this to target Angle's weak neck. Angle laughed it off literally, saying he is an Olympic gold medalist and pro wrestler, and that he has no uneasiness about his neck. Angle promised to prove his strength while also guaranteeing a good match tomorrow. TNA's other representatives, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels, also arrived with Angle. AJ said he is in great shape and as a pro wrestler, he'll wrestle anywhere and any time, in any condition. Asked about his impression of Tanahashi, AJ called him a young and wonderful wrestler, but claimed he himself is better. AJ said he remembers his previous match with Tanahashi well, but doesn't consider it a victory, as it was an "accident" caused by unfair interference. Hence, he plans to beat Tanahashi cleanly in what he called their "first confrontation". AJ said there will be no Shannon Moore tomorrow, and he will win "beautifully". Daniels is back for a rematch with the man he lost to on January 4th, Wataru Inoue. Wataru's IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title won't be on the line this time, but the Fallen Angel is out for revenge. Daniels has researched the footage of their previous match and says he has figured out where he went wrong, and should win tomorrow. Daniels suggested that if he does win tomorrow, he will re-challenge for the junior belt. He sent a message to the fans, saying last time he was at Sumo Hall, he and Low Ki had a great match with Minoru & Prince Devitt, and promised another strong performance at the same building tomorrow. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Kurt Angle - the chance for Nakamura to do what Nagata always wanted to but couldn't, that being to "capture the world". The chance for New Japan to secure the sort of victory it has sought for so long. And the chance perhaps or Nakamura to earn a win so big it will give him that boost of credibility as he leads Japanese pro wrestling forward as the young ace. But can he do it? We'll find out in under 24 hours. NJPW, 2/17/08 (WPW/PPV) Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan 1. Intensely! Desperately!: Manabu Nakanishi, Takashi Iizuka, Koji Kanemoto & Tiger Mask vs. Ryusuke Taguchi, Yujiro, Taichi Ishikari & Tetsuya Naito 2. Nagata couldn't wrestle at the event due to brain injuries. Let's all hope for the best.

Wow, I'm shocked at my guys losing both sets of tag belts. Bernard and Tomko had an AMAZING reign, and Devitt's and Minoru's barely got off the ground. Nagata's whole brain abnormalities could spell retirement sadly, Nakamura beating Angle is very good, so RISE has at least the IWGP Title. I wish they'd go back to the first one, I love that design. I see Daniels/Inoue for the belt next tour. Tenzan back is neat, and I hate seeing Nakanishi, and Chono on the low-mid card. Thanks for results, James, as I was sleeping.

Not surprised Angle lost. I would expect the TNA/NJPW relationship to be less obvious now. Sucks to hear about Nagata.
