I remember when news first broke of BJ doing that and never really got to see it on DVD or video, so I was just wondering what show it was done at originally.

It was at In our Face. I was there live for it, and it was pretty awesome to witness, only because it was kind of shocking. Seeing it on dvd was just kind of a let down.

Damn, was hoping with ROH having a more hands on approach, that it'd fit the title of the show. Thanks for that, any body have opinions of the overall show?

In Your Face, June 17th 2006. It had a good main event (KENTA vs. Danielson vs. Samoa Joe), and it had some other good things such as that Powerbomb. Nothing real special though.

I think that was the week before my first ROH show, Chi-Town Struggle. I was already really excited about seeing my first show, but when I heard about that I peaked.

I thought the show (In Your Face) was ok. That powerbomb was the highlight of the show by far. The triple threat main event I thought was a huge letdown. The only notable thing in that was Joe KO'ing KENTA. Homicide/Hero was good, and so was Richards/Rave. Just an ok show all around.
If you haven't seen it, watch the Jacobs/Whitmer match on Dragon Gate Challenge. I honestly don't know how Jacobs survived and finished the match after the botch.

Mark, it's a yes and no, because I thought the original details told of Jimmy's back hitting the barricade, but the barricade looks to close for them not to land in the crowd.
And this show sounds like it was strong style/hard knocks city. Not because of the styles but the level of, let's be honest, brutality.

I didn't think the show was anything special. Any show that is just remembered for one spot can't be that good.

I don't quite see how Jacobs would agree to take that...I mean just not knowing how you could land on an isle of open chairs from great heights and the possibility of landing on the edge of the barricade would just seem a bit resisting.

I'm sorry but, I wanted to laugh so hard at those that got landed on. I'm sorry, it's just the way the video showcases it. But thanks Hollywood, +1 for that.
