Just out of curiousity, how did you get your hands on that? If I had the money, I'd so totally buy it.

Man, I'm always on the constant swap of what I wanna be in regards to the business. Just a fan or some thing more. But honestly, that belt would keep me happy as just a fan. Still, my starting bid is a couple thousand short.

I don't want to sound like a pompous, self-inflated, ass, but most people think that anyway.
On the "underground" belt collecting scene, most people tend to think of me as one of the more knowledgeable people. I've helped numerous people with belt designs, improvements, etc. I also have a private belt collection.
I always have a good idea of what is out there for sale be it ring used, or replicas (Not the cheap $200 toy belts), but real belt that aren't ring used. There is only a small handful of people with the money to buy either, so when something comes up for sale, people either offer it to me or ask me to sell it for them.
I mostly buy for my personal collection. Certain belts like the Hogan belt, I bought only to resell only because the person selling it had no idea what they had, and I would rather it end up in the hands of a serious private collector than some kid with no idea about the history and value of the belt.
I am also friendly with most of the major belt makers, and frequently they are given back ring used belts in exchange for new belts. Then it is those belt makers who tend to either sell them or trade them for other belts to private collectors.
Basically, you need to have connections, and many people tend to think of me as a connection.
If anyone out there is a real belt fan, check out spam.com It is a forum dedicated to wrestling belts, but we also BS about wrestling, real life, etc.

And for the record, people are giving their honest opinions.
Now you could probably get your desired price range, but I think most people here aren't shelling $4,500 on one sole wrestling item.
That's not to say it can't be worth it, just a matter of the clientele you are marketing it to.

Did I question the value of the belt? I'll just alleviate the misunderstanding, and make clear my point was that I don't see people posting alot about purchases they spent in the price range you are mentioning. Not to mention my original point was that people aren't trying to shake down your price, by posting they still are giving you feedback. It's just not gratuity.

Well the fact that the majority of the users on this board are under 16 probably comes into consideration as to why you don't see people posting about purchases in this price range.

Even those that are over 16, I don't see them posting about that big of a purchase.

Most people over that age are probably smart enough not to post it publicly because of the ridicule of people saying "I can't believe you spent x amount of dollars on that thing"
Why do people spend $10,000 on a Rolex watch? A $20 Casio tells you the same time. Why so people buy $2500 Gucci or Prada hand bags? What makes certain action figures worth $3,000?
Some people are into specific things or are fans of certain wrestlers and would only spend the money on a specific item.
There is the possibility that someone with disposable income is a huge fan and would want to purchase any of belts that are out there.
This thread is a perfect example of why people don't post high ticket items on boards, there are always people who don't understand, who want to question them, bring them down, and then there are some who are just jealous.
I didn't post this to become a debate, but after the response my Hogan belt got on here, I thought it would be nice to give some board members an opportunity before I go to eBay.

Well the fact that the majority of the users on this board are under 16 probably comes into consideration as to why you don't see people posting about purchases in this price range. Actually on this board, the majority of users are probably over 16. This board is filled with the most intelligent posters on all of WFgis. In fact the average age is probably in the 20s. I also dont doubt the value of the belt. I would clearly spend $4600 on a belt that had some value to me. Unfortunately, this is not the one and I dont have the cash laying around to purchase it. I dont have a desire to collect ring worn titles and wont spend $4600. Feel free to continue to post pics of actual in ring belts as it brings about an interesting discussion. But I doubt very much anyone here would purchase one. And those who would, like myself and a few others, are gonna be very select in which one we would buy. As far as know......TNA could be dead in a few years. Considering the road they have been traveling down.
