well he did a good job "kayfab"ing it, bawling his eyes out and ****, putting so much emotion and **** into his speeches. why would he do something like that? i think what you mean by kayfabe is duping. either that, or he wasn't planning on wrestling and did it as a last minute favor to help out CZW. He rode out with Mickie and was planning on just selling DVDs and shirts. He didn't have a bag of gear with him. You don't see it noted there, that he wrestled the 4 minute match in jeans and Nikes. I paid my $30 to get a front row ticket to Ian's retirement. I dropped around $100+ for gas and stuff to go to the 500th show. I don't feel at all slighted that Ian worked CZW, or that he works the Juggalos shows. It's wrestling. Aside from Nick Mondo and Megumi Kudo, no one retires from wrestling unless they are absolutely forced to because of injury. If they did, Ric Flair wouldn't still be hobbling around on Monday nights. Get the over it. You want to bust someone's nuts for coming out of retirement, go talk to Terry Funk.

Balling eyes out? Emotion? Sounds much like the kayfabed HBK "lost smile" speech. well he did a good job "kayfab"ing it, bawling his eyes out and ****, putting so much emotion and **** into his speeches. why would he do something like that? i think what you mean by kayfabe is duping. either that, or he wasn't planning on wrestling and did it as a last minute favor to help out CZW. you seriously think he was pulling our legs the whole time? he really got ed up this past year dude. I'm not saying he was intentionally pulling anyone's legs. I think he was making his retirement in IWA:MS. I dont think he was retiring from wrestling. I certainly didnt think he was. If he was......why not like a retirement tour throughout some of the bigger name feds he had worked for?

He said he was retiring and sold some extra ticket to that show. Anyone who argues otherwise is just making stuff up. I always like how people make excuses for their favorite wrestler or promotion even if they are dead wrong.

I dont know if you have heard of those or not. And before you shreik with a flurry of "IAN DOESNT WORK THERE". Its irrelevant. I didnt say he did. Nor did I say it was the most realistic option for him. But considering his long standing in the wrestling community......maybe he gets a match in some of those places. He said he was retiring and sold some extra ticket to that show. Anyone who argues otherwise is just making stuff up. I always like how people make excuses for their favorite wrestler or promotion even if they are dead wrong. Ian is far from my fav. wrestler. IWA:MS is not my favorite promotion. And I am not making stuff up. I am voicing an opinion. I never once believed that Ian was retiring from wrestling. Not once. If you did and feel like you got screwed......thats your opinion. I just dont agree with it and I am kind of shock anyone thought he would stay retired forever. Outside of Mondo, who else has retired and has stayed retired? Dont mention guys like Droz who happen to be paralyzed. I mean guys who either took a beating and decided to walk away before something permanent happened or a guy who retired just to give it up.

I love Ian to death, but that's ridicious. He didn't work CZW because he had a long standing relationship with PWU at the time. PWU guys didn't work CZW. He wanted to keep being able to book Devon Moore, so he didn't do CZW. PWG would just be silly, to travel from Kentucky to Southern California, to wrestle a very first match with a company, in a retirement tour. Ian was retiring for a reason. his body just couldn't hold up. I'm not sure if you've seen some of his scars from the flaming no rope barbed wire match he had with Freakshow, or how bad his knee looked following the light tubes match they did in Sellersburg, but both were incredibly rough.. Let's not mention JAPW. I'd rather not see 4 pages of JSWO and Undisputed Kid bickering about stuff that no one cares about.

But he very well could have gotten a spot somewhere, perhaps Chikara even, for something.

Lol, I love how people like Franchise and Shooter, the only people who even care about all this, don't even attend or support IWA: MS. That's irony.
His fans support Ian, but all the haters, are just that, haters for the purpose of hating. Not trying to insult you guys, but Jesus, THE FANS WHO PAID TO GO TO HIS RETIREMENT AND BOUGHT THE TICKECTS ALL SUPPORT IAN, DONT CARE.
Since you guys clearly were not 'duped,' why do you care? That's all im saying. I'm one of the people who went to his retirement and about 75% of all IWA MS shows and buys DVDs and i dont care.

yeah tatoo boy, i've been to a total of like 10 IWA shows so you already lose. And I don't support IWA? Spending probably like $500 on them in my lifetime, yeah i don't help them out at all.
we've already been through this already this year alone, i guess the smoke's getting to your brain
honestly though, what's it to me if he comes out of retirement? It doesnt affect my life one bit. you make it seem like i genuinely am disgisted by him, I just think it's lame he broke his promise to the fans and to his wife.
and to showstopper, what would the point of Ian touring ROH, JAPW, PWG or even chikara be? there would be no point, it would have been a waste to sign someone that hasn't been in those companies either for 2 years or ever and it wouldnt have drawn anymore people either. There is NO point at all for him to go to any of those places, the fact he never wrestled there isn't irrelevant at all. Why bother bringing him in is the question, just because he's had a long career he'll maybe have a match there? no it doesnt hold up or make any sense, if so are you expecting people like Flair and crapto have a run in those companies before they call it quits?
