OK, My room used to have wallpaper, carpet, curtains etc. and looked like it was straight out of Only Fools and Horses.
So one day i got some money and decided to buy a new bed (as the old one was knackered).
After buying that, I realised what a sh*t hole my room actually is, and have since set forth with updating it.
So... to cut a long story short, I practically painted one half of the room white (two walls and an alcove, there are fitted shelves on the wall that is white, and the im planning to have a fitted wardrobe cover 70% of the other wall, and the alcove is empty as it is where the head of my bed is) so it wont be too plain looking or anything. So for the other two walls (one is big and normal, the other is about the same size but has the window on it) i couldnt think what colour to do it. I didn't want an overly white room, so i thought a red would look good.
I picked out a tin of paint in "English Fire", this colour (apparently):
(The actual paint is nothing like that, to be honest. Its much darker/stronger)
So i painted a wall with it, three coats, let it dry, and then i decided that I'm gonna have to put shelves on that wall (which i hadn't originally assumed).
Now, the shelves will be dominated with wrestling figures i'd say, but will also be holding folders, photo albums and other generic crap.
So i figure that that red will be too eye-cutting to display anything on.
I pretty much decided to just do it all white, then.
But then.. just as i thought that.. I had a feeling deep down... I knew this feeling.. it was like a heavy, soring feeling.. but instantly turned to relief.. As the power of Kane and the speed of Rey Mysterio entered my body, I sprung from the chair and raised my arms to the sky as i looked at those surrounding me and i declared...
"WHAT WOULD WF DO?!"
So.. what colour would you guys go for? (a visual aid would also be great)
It has to be good for putting behind a display (that will be made of beech wood, see below:
Any ideas?
