Yep, I bought a new pet, a Yellow Anaconda. Its rather tame than most Anacondas. Im now up to 14 total snakes. So anyone else get a new pet recently?

Aren't those things supposed to be dangerous as hell?

I dont see the point of having snakes as pets, they're cool creatures and all but to lock them up in a small cage is pretty mean. And they don't do much for like 500$ + or how ever much you pay for them.

^ LOL
That's cool, but I would never get a snake myself. I was going to adopt a newly born beagle from the Vet Tech. program at my college, but some girl got to him like a second before I did. The others look too snippy, so I passed.

Cool snake, but I'd never keep one as a pet.

Aren't those things supposed to be dangerous as hell? Eh, some are and some arent, every type of snake can be dangerous but this is a pretty tame Anaconda. This one only gets up to around 10 feet, the Green Anaconda gets up to 26. The only bad thing about my Anaconda is she lets off a really bad musk smell when shes nervous but shes never tried to bite so far.

I had a small snake go on my neck once by a professional snake handler or something. I felt pretty nervous with a snake on my neck and I'm scared of those things but they still look cool but I wouldn't get one as a pet. Enjoy your Anaconda.

Haha yeah the Anaconda was a bit creepy. I have pythons and boas and king, garter and corn snakes, but I wanted something new. Last night the snake attempted to bite me 3 times, on the third time one tooth grazed my thumb, didnt draw blood, but thats the risk with snakes. I told my self that before I move on to venomous snakes I wanted to get used to an Anaconda and hopefully make one tame. So after this snake, im going to be getting into the Venomous field of snakes. Ill edit my post later with pics of the other 13 creatures living in my room.

Snakes scare the crapout of me. I would be afraid of one of the snakes breaking loose from the cage.
