I like football MORE, but obviously due to the short season I watch WWE more because its all year.
I just feel like when I am watching WWE it is just another TV show now and I don't get into it as much as I used to. When my favorite wrestler wins a match it just doesn't excite me anymore because I know its all just acting like any other TV show.
When I watch football, the outcome isn't predetermined, and look at the Super Bowl this year....with 35 seconds left in the game, it still wasn't over yet. The Giants winning the Super Bowl was exciting and made me feel good like it was a reward for supporting the team for so long.
Thanks to the internet, there are very few surprises left in wrestling these days. Nothing will compare to the excitement of watching my team win a REAL football game, or baseball game for that matter.

Well at my high school I wrestle and play football, so thats what I'm referring to, not to professional sports, when I say wrestling. Wrestling has been something I've been doing since I was 8 or 9 and now I'm 17. I love football also, but wrestling is my sport.

I came up with this thread while in was class. Everyone had to stand up and say their favourite sport Everyone said football and i said wrestling. Then they all looked at me and said "Your gay you like wrestling!" "You like to watch sweaty men touch each other" I replied by saying: How am i gay ? When i watch it all i see is guys to put on a good show for the fans. You must be gay if you think about it in that mindset. Football fans enjoy watching sweaty men running around in shorts and kissing each other when they win Football is always the same, it's the same old crap. Run up and down a field. That's all it is, there's no other changes. With wrestling you've got loads of different matchs to keep you interested, i mean you've got: Steel cage Hell in a cell Normal Submission Hardcore Last man standing Some of those matchs can have up to 6 people in, maybe more. The point is, football is WAY overated. So which do you prefer ? Football or wrestling ? (I'm talking about normal football) How can you honestly say that? all wrestling is is a soap opera it's all fake. The fact is football players are at tip top shape, most of the big name wrestlers just pump 'roids anyways and they end up dying at the age of 40. Football isn't the same all the time. Every play is different. So it actually has ALOT more changes. Sorry football doesn't have a royal rumble where the field is surrounded by ropes and you have to throw your opponents off. I do agree with you on one thing though, The wrestling itself isn't gay but when they wear all theres tights and shit, thats gross. |

Anyway, it seems as if even though this is a wrestling forum, there are alot of football fans present.
I'm just confused at how you can enjoy watching the same thing over and over again.

Which it isn't Football's beauty comes from the idea that anything can happen at anytime, there could be a wonder goal, watching the United, Arsenal or Spurs play mesmirising football, there could be an amazing comeback, there could be heart-ache in a shoot-out, none of which, none of the experiences of watching football, the emotion, elation and disappointment can be replicated by wrestling. |

Why can't American's see that "soccer" came first, and you had no right to change it's name from football. For  s sake, American Football is just a rip off of Rugby....just with padding. Either way, I hate "soccer" and American Football. |

Exactly, you want a man's sport? Try rugby. At least there's no padding in it. There isn't in "soccer" either.
In fact...why is American Football the "man's sport" again?
