OK. I'm not the most athletic person in the world, but i can Go The DistanceHowever, if i run/cycle/whatever for a while, and it becomes tiring, and i keep on going anyway.. I dont get a really sore headache, i dont feel like collapsing.... I get a pain in my tooth. Is that normal? Its like my tooth (usually in the top right area, in the middle) becomes really sore and i can feel my gum pulsating slowly. Anyone else get this or know why i'm typically unlucky enough to get it? (My teeth, whilst not the most amazing in the world, are just fine. So its not an oral hygiene problem). (Well OK, Not that nice)

Gotta love your diagramatic responses...
As for your problem Im not entirely sure. You dont apply pressure to it when you exercise? There may be a point in exercise that you dont realise but your tensing your jaw and applying pressure to your teeth.
Is it an ongoing problem or what?

No, I'm being serious. I just put the pictures in to amuse the younger members who struggle with big words. Gotta love your diagramatic responses... As for your problem Im not entirely sure. You dont apply pressure to it when you exercise? There may be a point in exercise that you dont realise but your tensing your jaw and applying pressure to your teeth. Is it an ongoing problem or what? Your tensing the jaw theory does sound credible. But im not sure. It happens here and there, but not if im doing sit ups or squats or any of that crap, usually only when cycling does it get sore. I don't wana see a dentist, cos his eyes will light up with € signs when i walk in the door saying "i dont know whats wrong". I was thinking about maybe a nerve is screwed up somewhere or something

Do you grind your teeth at night when you sleep? Not that i know of. Last time i went to the dentist would be over a year ago and that was the last time i ever really had any trouble with my teeth (had to get a filling, conveniently, its in the same place i get this pain from cycling, but i doubt its related). I wake up with no oral problems aside from a bad taste in my mouth. I brush at least twice a day (thoroughly). I don't get it to be honest. I was kinda hoping someone here would have had this problem, and let me know what they did to sort it out.

Take a note next time if you do tense or not. Is it a long time thing or just recently?

lol Kaneisdaman: As far as i know i've had it for a while. Whenever i do excercise and really just go flat out, it gets sore. If i go for a decent cycle it'd be ok. But i think you're right about tensing my jaw. I dont know if i do that or not, but i mean, what else could it be, you know?

sounds like because you're excercising your bloodis pumping faster so you can feel the pulse in one of the arteries in your mouth, you become aware of this making the feeling more intense causing your tooth ,which is probably underneath the artery, to ache more than it really is. I get this sometimes in the front of my mouth; I start to feeling an artery pulsing and my tooth begins to ache. If you are very observent of the changes in your body you become aware of the pains quickly and your brain intensifies the feeling which is a sympton of hypocondria(sp?), you feel a little pain and tell yourself it's worse than it really is making it feel worse.
