I woke up around 1 am this morning with a monsterous sore throat. It isnt just that, I am having trouble swallowing and can't take deep breaths.
Anyone have any remedies? It hurts like a bitch

Probably strep throat. Go to the doctor.

Probably strep throat. Go to the doctor. i was gona say that. a good cure is to gargle water,it helps clear and will speed up recovery. |

Go to the doctor is really all you can do. like others said, gargle salt water, sore throat spray, losenges. I just got over strep throat for the 3rd time since Christmas, and i have to go in a few weeks to get my tonsoles removed ugh. So good luck to you!

My mom says it isnt strep because I dont have a fever Theres different side effects and symptons for strep throat. only 1-3 times I had Strep this year I had a fever. You dont always need it. Have her look back in your throat and if its white and puss its strep. if its just red its probably not. |

Well, Sore throat is still there, and I happened to get mucus and have been feeling like I am going to puke any second, yet Ive had this feeling for the last half hour.
I sware to god, I hate getting the cold. Instead of one single thing that is wrong, my whole body is weak.
Kill me, please. Or tell me a way I can start feeling better, if anyone has any tips.

I got Strep once years and years ago, no symptoms but my throat was ed up I actually started crying from how bad that **** hurt. I didn't get a fever till a day and a half later. Drink warm liquids. It's flu season as well. You may not have strep but may be showing the early signs of Bronchitis. |

Odds are, you may POSSIBLY have mono...About a year from this past Halloween I had exactly the same thing- felt REALLY weak, extremely sore throat...It felt like I was swallowing razor blades every time I tried...But no fever or signs of strep...Altogether really weak and useless...Turns out I got my tonsils out shortly thereafter, also...So- it's a possibility you got Mono...*waits for someone to make spit swapping joke*

Well, I just puked everything since breakfast and then some (cough drops from last night) and what is even worse is I ended up taking a crapwhile it happened. Laugh all you want, but when you are throwing up you have NO control over your body. Thats how I learned I had dirarrea (sp?). And yet, my mother says its a common cold and not to go to a doctor. JESUS ING CHRIST, I DONT HAVE A COLD. I FEEL LIKE A PILE OF CRAP NOT LIKE MY NOSE IS STUFFED UP. ! |
