I figure there's a lot of suppressed feelings on this forum.
Ok.
Truth be told, I just wanted a thread to exist where people could post some experiences they had where they expected good things from some thing, yet when it was all over, you wish you never insisted on it so much.
There's really no ideal event or activity or any of that, just some thing that didn't pan out as worth revisiting.
For me it was a hockey game yesterday, Syracuse Crunch. My first and it was more so for my ma who always goes with whatever suits me, so I felt she deserved a choice for once on a family activity if you wanna call it that.
It was bad enough that we both were, and are currently, sick. But not even an hour into the game she wants to leave. We spent around 60 dollars on tickets, 2 souveirners for my nephew and niece and some nachos with a soda.... but that's not even the disappointment.
See, I've only been to this one game, but for 18 minutes... every 90 seconds the intercom was going off about some thing. None of which was related to the game either.
From Taco Bell trivia, to a clap-along, it was pathetic.
You couldn't be more obvious in creating an insinuation that the fan's had the attention span of a hockey puck, and it's the one on the ice getting slapped around in rotation.
I wouldn't volunteer myself for a hockey game again, unless it was out on real ice. That's just the most basic reason the game didn't pan out. Plus my ma also found it annoying that every 90 seconds the game was less important. I wasn't alone.
So if you're still following me, what activity of any kind blew up in your face, leaving you questioning your better judgement?
