How do today's high gas prices affect your budget?
I can't say I have had a big change in my lifestyle due to gas prices other than getting pissed off every time I drive by the gas stations. I try to drive less but I live in town so most trips are quick ones. I do go long distances to see family less. I certainly feel the pain when I fill up and it costs me $38 when it used to cost me $12 to fill the same tank.
I suppose I spend less on entertainment items like DVDs and such but not to the point where I really notice it yet. I do fear that things will continue to get worse. I really feel for people who have lengthy commutes to work, etc.

As an indy wrestler it effects what bookings i take now. Before prices shot up say someone 4 hours away was offering you 30, that worked, it may not cover everything, but you wont take as big a hit money wise. Now though with gas prices, that 30 wont cut it and you need more, or you stop working for so many so far away for only the 30 bucks. Say you had 3 companies that far away at 30 a piece, now you may have to drop one, and only take two of them. Thus you save some money, but lose some experience.

Ehh,
I mean minimum wage went up so it sort of in a way balances, but its not really affecting my budget other than the fact college and my girlfriend both live in Youngstown which is 20-30 minutes or so away from my house, so that kills my bank.

I find myself staying home more often which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Also, I run all my errands on one side of town or the other instead of driving all over town. It's a bit inconvenient as sometimes I have to put off going somewhere I want.

I usually always fill up when I get paid and it last me until my next check so I'm pretty much the same only I pay a little more now than I have been.

Luckily for me everything I need or would need is within a few miles of my house. I stopped collecting figures but I don't know if I would have changed my driving habits.

Its seriously affected me. I drive 39 miles, one way, to school. I go through a tank every week, so I'm paying $40 a week in gas alone.

try running out of gas when you get to the casino and need to use their station a mere 5.50 a gallon!!!!!

I didn't really mind before but now that I've settled down and got a place with my girlfriend I started to really see how it hits the pocketbook. When I was single I had money to burn, now everything I do costs twice as much since there's now 2 of us. Obviously I have to drive all the time so I'm noticing how much it costs for the privilege of driving. I'm 4 miles away from where I work, I'm seriously starting to consider either walking or biking to work everyday from now on

I've found we fill a car up with people for lengthy road trips instead of the old two, maybe three people to a car.. Splitting a tank of gas 5 ways is nothing..
it doesn't effect me much, because most places I go I can walk.
