It is downright repulsive. It is absolutely disusting and how it ever gains/ed popularity (although its declining) i dont know. If someone thinks there good when they smell like crap, have ruined fingers, cough repetitively, have lung cancer and other disease well then that person is an idiot. Smoking should be in no way endorsed or given allowances such as areas to do it. It is absolutely repulsive and contains only negative consequences.
What i also hate is those who refuse to buy those patches to quit smoking because "they cost too much". Well hey open your eyes and you will see that it will cost less in the long run because you keep buying those cigarettes which are (i dont know exactly) like $10 a pack. I think some even reach prices in excess of $100.
Bottom line: Smoking is disgusting and should in no way be allowed.

earlier this year i started smoking casually.
for example, if i'm with friends just hanging out and there's one there to take i'll have it, but i don't go through several packs a day.

Once again, badnewz has no idea what he is talking about? Name one thing that still exists to accommodate smokers. It's illegal virtually everywhere. Hell... in many places there are talks of banning people from smoking in their own cars. I've even heard of a couple places banning smoking outside altogether, even personal property. Whatever man, in my opinion nothing shoud be done to accomidate smokers and it should be banned. So even if there are only a few things around, its too much. Its a horrible habit to have and is the very reason i have the lung conditions that i have now(my mother smoked like a chimney while pregnant). But nah, I dont know what i'm talking about as i never do according to you. And notice you said talks of banning smoking. Its not gonna happen, not any time soon. Ok... you completely ignored everything I said. What accommodations are there for smokers anywhere? It's illegal to smoke everywhere.

I didnt ignore you dude, i'm just saying that i know that its illegal alost every where but i think that there shouldnt be an almost. I dont wanna smell smoke when i enter a doorway at school, ishouldnt have to wear a mask when go to a concert. All i'm saying is that the only place smoking should be allowed is in the privacy of your or anyone elses home but not ANYWHERE PUBLIC , that includes outside.

i smoke & i love smokers. in ohio it recently became illegal to smoke in any restaurants, bars, bowling alleys, etc. & it's the biggest pain in the ass ever. oh, second hand smoke, boo ing hoo...it's not illegal to smoke cigarettes, so deal with it...i hate whiny non-smokers, they're such lil' bitches about it. if smoking is sooooo horrible then make it illegal & quit selling cigarettes, if that's not gonna happen then shut up about it is my opinion on the matter. So because somebody doesn't want to get cancer, they should have to stay away from public places & restaurants? I have no problem with smokers, as long as they do it in private and aren't doing it in public places. It's been said already, but a person's right to not be around second smoke outweighs a person's right TO smoke. Forcing secondhand smoke on other people is dangerous. Forcing the smokers to take their habit outside isn't. FOR THE LAST TIME, THERE IS NO SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE LINKING SECOND-HAND SMOKE TO CANCER

Even if second hand smoking doesn't hurt you, if I need to go to toilet I don't piss over you, so why should you stand there and cover me in the smell of smoke?
Though it doesn't bother me much, the smell of smoke on my clothes isn't too good.

I don't smoke, but I've lived in a smoking home all my life so I don't mind it at all really.

Thus making it dangerous( not to mention annoying). On the other hand..Is there a chance you could get cancer by being forced to take your smoke outside? No. Thus a person's right to not be around smoke outweighs the other person's right to smoke. Anybody who disputes this is an idiot. Even smokers have to admit it's more harmful for another person to be around their smoke than it is for them to simply step out of the ing door for a few minutes. Oh boo hoo...you have to walk ten feet, and go outside to smoke. Tough ing luck. That's what you get for taking up an addiction. With every addiction comes consquences and thinks you may not like.

Why can't there be seperate areas for smokers and non-smokers?

Im a teenager, and Im an on and off smoker. I hate how "all the cool kids do it" because really I mostly smoke by myself. I will once in a while with friends but never across the street from school to make sure all the cool kids see me. If I wanted to be cool all I'd have to do is listen to the Plain White T's and wear Hollister.

I am entitled to my opinion and dont need to be labelled terms like that for stating my opinion. Yes i dont like it ok, so do many others. I am also aware of those who do like it, good for them. Im just saying, doing away with smoking or not even bringing it into existence in the first place would /have been more beneficial. There is no full positive implications of smoking. It may be good to socially fit in but you pay that with a price. Smoking also indirectly costs alot with its implications. It is a meaningless and harmful habbit. Im just saying, why have something if it is only going to impact negatively. Would you buy a car you know is going to break or would you keep a pet that you know is going to attack you? Also the bold part of your reply doesnt make sense. However, from what i think you were trying to say, the "they cost too much" excuse against patches is used besides the "they dont work" ones. The "they dont work" ones are in some cases acceptable because sure conditions vary from person to person. Patchs have been proven to work though and thats why they are on the market ( i understand not in all cases).
