So I just got a Tivo as a Christmas gift today. Anyone have a Tivo that has any advice? I am just wondering if it will be worth it in the long run.

I have had one since 2001. It's a godsend. The only advice I have, is use it.

Canada is just getting Tivo.
My buddy has Tivo, and I want one... but I wish I had the option of the lifetime service.

I have a DVR and I love it. I'm sure TiVo's just as great. Have fun with it.

I have a TiVo. I just got mine in September. I absolutely love it! One of the best things ever to be invented!

I may have to tell my dad about Tivo. How much is it a month & is there any special kind of deals they have?

Right now they have a couple of the boxes on sale, and the membership deals are on sale apparently for the holiday. I dont know what they usually cost.

DVR is better. No subscription costs and it the hard drives are generally much larger.
