The kid was beaten by his dad. His dad's an abusive prick and his mother ing allows it, and that turns kids into pricks. It's no wonder why the kid comes off as a little douche angry at the world and why he can rub people, like me, in the wrong way. that doesn't give him an excuse to sound like a spoiled little crapwho wants these things. We cant get everything we want and when it doesn't go your way dont act like a dick.

I was going to respond to your post, but my Burnout Paradise demo on Xbox Live is just about finished loading and I'm thinking about downloading Beyond Oasis from the Wii's virtual console while I'm at it. lol

HOWEVER I realize that these material goods dont mean jack ****. Im not going to let society form me into someone im not. Why is the world so matierialistic? Did anyone else ever go through this or currently going through this? How did you cope with it and what did you do? God I cant wait till highschools over. If you realize that material goods don't mean jack ****, and you're not going to let society form you into someone that you're not, why are you complaining that you're not getting material goods, especially those that are deemed acceptable by society. Instead of a nano, ask for a 4 Gb zune. It's 100 bucks cheaper. Instead of Hollister t-shirts, ask for t-shirts that don't cost 30 bucks. I mean, if you refuse to let society decide who you are, then, um, why are you letting society decide who you are?

Get a job, if your not old enough SUCK IT UP BUDDY! Although i do feel sorry for you because your dad beat your ass.
And with what mole said he really backed you into a corner. I for one dont go for the huge name shirts. People over here are into all the light colours and fluro and shit, they buy from cotton on and other big name shops. Whereas i go to target and find the same type of shirt for $12. I think thats damn good.

Everything will be alright, having everything means that you will most likely strive for nothing lately...Material is just that material. I dont have a game system at all though I want one, I shop at Goodwill, Target, and Walmart for clothes. I have never once owned any sort of mp3 player of any kind and still use my trust cd and cd player, works fine for now. The key is not worrying about it no matter what others say, of course my personality never fit in anyways, so chances of me caring about what they had never bothered me. As a result im a recluse, unsocial, and a bit offsetting...yep..prolly a good idea to go with the flow I guess..haha

You think thats bad? My parents had the money & they still wouldnt do it. They made me get a job & earn it myself. You might think this sounds harsh, but man up & get a job you're self. You value those items a lot more. I was pissed my parents wouldnt help me out, but it was better for me in the long run

Like I said, the sooner you realize that the world doesn't really owe you a living the better off you are.

Grow a set. -Cult Member BriGuy Kid, I see your 14. If you care about personal image at all, you should know or soon know exactly what Im talking about. I do not respect the opinions of Hulk Hogan Fans and Bad Traders. Sorry guys. Go back to ripping off kids and pretending its the 80's. I notice that the age of three of my criticizers are 22. Coincidence? I dont know. Nice to see I sparked up such a healthy debate! Alas Ive came to the conclusion that I should be glad for what I have, but Ill never have as much as some rich guy. And maybe my parents were just being modest and I might get some of that stuff for christmas. I can only hope. I am materialistic. It is wrong. BUT it is cool! And it seems for young people, thats all there is to it. Take a look at girls for example; the epitome of spoiled. They want guys with the same ammount of stuff they do, so they can expect someone of the same mindset. They also want guys who are jacked and got a six pack but thats another story. Who here in this forum is "cool" or was cool in the school days? Compare what I want to be to yourself and see if the desires are the same. -1 karma... what a pointless system.

Yeah the world is rather materialistic but change occurs all the time, just we are going through it now. Fake people are worse though.

The world is so materialistic because you're letting it become so. By chasing the "gold", so to speak, you're just feeding the fire. I would have smacked you too if you called me cheap for not buying you an X-Box. ^ Nicely said. Stop cryign about how you're not going to be receiving a new system. So what? There are a lot of kids out there whom have it far worse. $400 cheap? No it isn't. Be grateful for what you have and what you get. By callign your parents cheap because they won't buy you this material possess, you in turn are driven to obtain materialistic items in order to fit into society. I've been in the real world. I've been through college and HS. You make HS out to be this big castle. In fact HS is nothing. When you go to college and graduate into the working world, HS means sh*t. Grow up, be grateful, and shut up because no one cares in the end.

Grow up, be grateful, and shut up because no one cares in the end. If you claim no one cares, then why do you type such a response? Yeah you in your own way, care. You dont want to world to be this way. and I dont either.

LeighD i dont necessarily think it is fake, i think he is telling the truth in the first post but wrote it very selfishly. I get $100 from each parent for xmas (they are divorced) and im cool with that, i have a job. i used 2 full pay-days worth of money and 3/4 of my birthday money to buy my 360, Earlier in the year i bought a DS before a long stay in hospital. My parents dont give me much money, once in a while my dad will have a bit of money and buy me 1 or 2 shirts from TARGET which i am grateful for.

You dont need much to be happy. But yet he still wants and wants and wants. I hate to use this phrase but... "There are poor kids in 3rd world countries who would love to get the things you have"

Although I know someone who has a theory that some people never get over the high school BS and repeat it for the rest of their lives. Maybe this kid is one of them.

Contrary to your belief, I came here to talk to fellow teens going through the same problems. You old guys who are trying to act like my parents are not going to get anywhere, im sorry to say. Picking on a kid for being like kids are; you should be ashamed. You guys dont and cant understand unless your in the same situation. Times change (hulk hogan = joke).

Im pretty sure some teens on here are living quite comfortably and can't ever sympathize on your situation or don't even care
