My friends Best friend killed himself yesterday. He got fed up with life and people making fun of him (he was big) and he shot himself. It was on the news alittle bit. My friend was in the counselors office all day and I felt bad. Its not that people kill themselves, its the people that drive them to kill themselves. Its such a sick world where people dont care about other peoples feelings. It just makes me sick. People may be kidding around, but they dont know how it effects the other person. We should just go to school, learn, make *nice* friends, and have fun. But no, it aint like that anymore. These days, you have to "fit in" to become acceptable and thats not right. People are just so cruel nowadays and think they are so much better. Kinda like that little weird nerdy kid in your class that everyone makes fun of because of how he acts or looks. Everyone has different interests and no one should have to "fit in" and "try" to become acceptable. It aint there fault. This world is so f*cked up that even humans can kill eachother emotionally.
Now, I dont really write stuff like this, but it just has to be said. It inspired me to write this and look at things differently now.
Thoughts?

I feel bad for your friend and I feel bad that there are people in the world that pick on others for no reason. BUT, I do not feel any sympathy for someone that kills themself. I think it's the cowards way out and am against suicide no matter what the situation is....It's ridiculous that someone would let another person's words drive them to the point where they want to kill themself...This guy was only thinking of himself and not thinking of the impact his death would have on his friends and family...Sorry if I come off as a dick, but that's just how I feel about this particular topic....

i think that anyone who is willing to question what another chooses to do with their life, rather that's live it prosperously, or end it prematurely, is a useless piece of shit. you're not them, you don't know. don't pretend to.

First off, Many of those things you said are 100 % true. Now I'd like to say, Sorry to hear about that. I think that's terrible. Making fun of someone else wheter joking or not is wrong. I can imagine that bothering someone to a certain point can make them so angry, they can basically snap. Thats horrible man. People can be cruel, Which isn't right. It doesn't matter what someone is like, what clothes they wear, if there body size is heavy....You see where im going with this. I'm not the kind of a person who would go around making fun of someone just because they look different or act different. Each person is on this world to life a life they were given. People should not be brought down because were all here just to live life and enjoy ourselfs. Were all human, We should respect each other and be nice to one another. We all live once, And we should live our lives happy and cheerful, Not by being brought down by others.

Back when I was in high school...I was probably the only kid that could make fun of someone and the person being made fun of would know I was kidding. This is a tragic event. And it is so stupid that because the way this kid was treated, it drove him to take his own life. I've been made fun of for a good part of my 18 years. At this point...It's just like another thing. I don't mind it. I don't know if I ever did. But as you said, they don't know how it will affect that person being made fun of. It's really  ing stupid schools these days that people have different cliques. I tried to fit in with everyone I met and I think everyone else should! |

Yeah it is a shame that things occur like this. Bullying can take its toll and may affect people even later on in life.  As you said, i wish others would actually further consider the impacts on others. People should just learn to be accpeting of others for who and what they are not forcing them to change to be accpetable. |

I feel so bad for you man. Things like that are so tragic to hear. It's a ing shame that people have to drive people to kill themselves. There are so many ignorant bungholes in the world it's complete bullshit. If you don't have as much money as them, aren't as athletic, don't come the largest down, or aren't the biggest guy, people will judge and think they're better than you. It's a damn shame this stuff has to happen, a damn shame. |

i think that anyone who is willing to question what another chooses to do with their life, rather that's live it prosperously, or end it prematurely, is a useless piece of ****. you're not them, you don't know. don't pretend to. i agree totally, i'm of the mind frame that i don't know what other people have to go thru....i don't live their life so i have no place to judge them just as i wouldn't want others judging me. it's so easy for people to sit back & judge others cuz it makes them feel so superior, but it's a crock of s**t  anyways, it is a shame that people can't just worry about themselves & have to pick on easy targets (nerds, fat people, etc.) to bring themselves up by making others feel like s**t. especially when it gets carried away & reaches a stage where the targets of it feel so tormented that they kill themselves to get away. it's really sad. |

Umm luisten I was in a stage sumialr to this in april of this year. And I did attempt to try to OD and it didn't work. Obvi I was ment to be here and since then I have meet some amazing people....and do you kno what girls that rember me from last yr say to me this year? You see this this on like Gold Standard girl in our class....you kno the one,....Blonde Hair, Blue Eyes and more curves than I have brakes for....well she rembered me last year b/c rumor was I did die. And when I finally worked up enuff to talk to that Gold she says to me "why did you change?" and what am I souposed to say? Wtf? It was needed she's dumber than a bucket of shirt but we go out now to say the least.

I'm a pretty big guy, and have been insulted, and you do tend to feel like crap. However, I have noticed that when i look at the person insulting me.. I realise just how much better off i am. I may have a few extra lbs on me, but at least I'm not a pathetic scumbag. |
