..so.. Long story short; A friend of mine called me over in school Thursday to watch her take speed. (I later found out it was the 2nd time today.) She knows I'm hardcore Straight edge; so I was pissed at the fact that she called me over JUST to watch her do it because she KNEW it would make me mad. So I later talked to one of my/her friends and we decided that we were worried for her and I texted my teacher (who knows this girl and has had problems with her smoking in the past, he's her ex volleyball coach.) Any way, Friday; she gets a 10 day suspension and all that but she later found out I told my teacher. So, I'm asking, should I talk to her? I'm debating on going over her house tomorrow to tell her why I did it etc. But what do you think?

You definitely should tell her that you did it because you were concerned for her, not just to get her in trouble.

Yeah i was gonna say that, You come across in this whole post as this dude  Oh man your hardcore straight edge, why need to put that in, why do we care like some dude's sig is atm, your only doing it cos of punk, you and all the other poser's and if its not cos of punk, its cos your scared and your doing what you mummy told you to do. As for ratting on her ?, thats low tis not concerned about someone, you just texted a teacher and was like, yeah this girl is on speed, im worried. instead of being a friend and talking to her, she could be having a breakdown and you could have helped her, but no you ran to the teacher. I think, dont go near her, she prob wont want to see you anyway. |

Plus ,he is 15 or something, i doubt he has enough real life experiences to be " Hardcore Straight Edge " you may be against the idea's in principle, but im sure when your older in college with booze and pot and stuff being passed around, that principle goes right out the window

what I mean by "hardcore straight edge" is the fact that I never, or rarely take medicine. and no.  off. I'm one of the real edger's here *before I knew about cm punk* Thanks to minor threat. I got my teacher's number from the chick i was talking to. (besides, he's KICK ASS. What other teacher do I talk to about Smashing Pumpkins, Nine inch nails, about? He even gave me the new atreyu CD) I didn't ing snitch on her. I asked my teacher "if I should go to the school councilor, or stay out of her business" To get my friend help, in worries that she is on a downward spiral. He even immediately knew who I was talking about. and yes, I have talked to her in the past. I'd say talking to her while under the influence of speed was pointless simply because of the fact that I'd talk to her before and she'd flip out |

Do you get mad when you see some guy across the street lighting up? How about when you see a patron at Applebee's ordering a beer? Straight edge is a...ready for it....PERSONAL DECISION. I'm not edge. I like my beer, and opt not to smoke, but I don't go on angry rampages over someone else making a piss poor...there it is again....PERSONAL DECISION. Short of someone's habits personally affecting me (see: smoking in my face, weeding up my apartment building), they can cut their fingers off if it makes 'em happy.
Second - since all you hard-liners on WF were straight edge before you came across CM Chump, maybe one of you can tell me why you all worship some of the most drug addled bands in recent memory. If it isn't Kevin missing the red herrings in his guitar god's nicknames, you've got Captain Hardcore here who's teacher is so awesome because they can screw off and discuss what size needle Jimmy Chamberlin is using to shoot up with this week.
75% of you guys are walking around with Ian Mackaye's rookie card in your back pocket just as a fail-safe in case you get called on it.
