Wait until the people who love Kane like he's god's gift to wrestling find out he endorses Ron Paul. Ron Paul is so ing amazing it's ridiculous. I really wish he had a snowball's chance of being elected. I guess we differ dramatically. I'm glad he doesn't have a chance. He'd be terrible for this country.

He'd be terrible for this country. I couldn't disagree more Slappy. Ron Paul is what this country needs. He's basically a libertarian dressed up as a republican. I find I tend to agree with most (not all, but most) of his views almost 100%. He'd get my vote for sure. Like I said though he doesn't have a snowball's chance of winning anything. It's really too bad. He seems to be extremely popular on the web though.

Against civil unions and marriage for same-sex couples. He voted to ban gay couples from adopting. He wants to get rid of the FBI, CIA, IRS, USPS, Board of Education He is against national health care. He won't ratify Kyoto. He's a racist. First, he is supported by Stormfront and David Duke. Paul voted against the Voting Rights Act last year, a law that is intended to prevent discrimination on the basis of race at the polls. Quotes from Paul "we are constantly told that it is evil to be afraid of black men, it is hardly irrational… Black men commit murders, rapes, robberies, muggings and burglaries all out of proportion to their numbers.” "If you have ever been robbed by a black teen-aged male, you know unbelievably fleet-footed they can be." "Given the inefficiencies of what the DC laughably calls the criminal justice system, I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or criminal." "Opinion polls consistently show that only five percent of blacks have sensible political opinions, i.e. support the free market, individual liberty and the end of welfare and affirmative action."

Ullar's response to Slappy's points, however biased they originally may have been, didn't really build a case for Ron Paul either. Furthermore, you don't need to be gay (even though Slappy is, without shame) to support same sex marriage. My aunt is gay (and married to her partner), as is my cousin, and a friend of ours who just got engaged to her partner. Because of all these people close to me, I find gay marriage to be an important issue as well.
Just as a side, Ron Paul is the most inconvenient candidate to discuss, when it comes to convenience. Most candidates can be referred to by last name alone and be easily recognizable, but somehow, just saying "Paul" sounds...off.
Just a side.

I am 100% trying to convince my parents to vote for Huckabee. I like him because a few months ago, when I first started to like him, he said he is pro life, against abortion, and another thing which I won't post do to it starting a fight.

He wants to isolate AIDS patients. Said that being gay is a public health risk. Basically said that women are low and only purpose is to serve their husband. He helped get a rapist out of jail and he went and raped and killed two women. He pardoned a multiple time drunk driver, because of his charity donations and he has been arrested several times after the pardon for drunk driving. At least he said he is open to the idea of same-sex civil unions.

"Opinion polls consistently show that only five percent of blacks have sensible political opinions, i.e. support the free market, individual liberty and the end of welfare and affirmative action." I have no problem with him being pro-life and I'm pro-life myself. I understand both sides of the gay marriage issue and I'm kind of on the fence about it myself. Both sides make some very strong and rational arguments. I didn't see anything on Ron Paul's site about his views on the subject. I did find out that he voted no on a constitutional ammendment defining marriage as one man - one woman and also voted no on an ammendment banning same sex marriages. The FBI and the CIA are like any government agency and have a lot of fat that can be cut out of them. I'm not in favor of banning them altogether though. I am in favor of the IRS and the Board of Education. I'm not opposed to privatizing the USPS. National Healthcare is a bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad idea economically speaking. Yeah it sounds good on paper, but you can't make the numbers work economically. It would ruin the quality of healthcare here in America. Our current system needs some work, but nationalizing it is a horrible idea. President Clinton wouldn't even ratifiy Kyoto because it would be a horrible decision for the US economy. I don't blame Paul for not wanting to ratify it either. I've never heard any of the bigotry stuff. I do know that he's stated that blacks are treated unfairly in the War on Drugs. If I had to vote today, I would vote for Ron Paul. He may not be everything I like, but he's the closest thing to it.

The thing is, if he is against banning same-sex marriage why would he ban same-sex couples from adopting?
Paul doesn't want to help the environment at all, because some how it's unconstitutional.
Why don't we do health care the way the French or Canadians do it?
The pro-life thing is him being a hypocrite. He wants the states to decide abortion rights, yet he votes to ban late-term abortions. It doesn't make sense. You can't have it both ways.

I heard of this. I dont know who Ron Paul is but he has got my vote. Thank god you're an Aussie. I back Obama, and I can't even stand the people voting for him based solely on Oprah's backing. I think Oprah, Obama and Denzel are the people who will usher in the New World Order. Seriously . . . more tearjerking mid-20th Century films on TV, more more MORE.

So living in Iowa I actually get to see these commercials, and I couldn't believe it the first time I saw it. Consequently, he SHOT up in the polls, no joke. I'm no huckabee supporter, nor a republican, but Slappy, he said those things more than 10 years ago, people do have a right to change their minds in their life. Not saying he has, but that's what gets me about politics. You say some stupid craponce and you're screwed, people think you'll believe that forever. He might be a douche. Doesn't matter to me because I'm caucusing democratic.
