Ok so I'm in a situation. This one girl who has liked since forever asked me to a dance at her school in like a month. I told her I'll think about it, but I REALLY don't want to go. She has liked me since forever and no matter how many times I try to give her hints that I want nothing to do with her, she just can't seem to move on. So I was thinking about trying to pick up a girl some time between now and then, and telling her I wouldn't feel comfortable going to a dance with her when I'm seeing some one. So what do you guys think I should do? Do you think my idea would work? Just let me know. Thanks guys. Ever heard of honesty? It is the BEST policy. Either that or tell her your gay. |

There's this girl at work who really has a crazy obsession with me, she asked me out for New Years Eve, but I shot her straight down because she's a monster.
If you really don't want to go with her, just tell a little white lie and tell her you've got your eyes on someone else or something...

You should give her a chance. That way if you still feel nothing you can say something along the lines of "Look, we gave it a shot, and I just don't feel that way about you. I'm sorry. I wish things were different, but I can't change the way I feel. I really hope we can still be friends though." That would be the worst case scenario. The best case scenario would be that you end up falling for the girl. Stranger things have happened.

Well dude, didn't think it'd come to this.................... OK that's out of the way. Using some crap I've gone through and the fact I know more about this situation than anyone else (no offense guys it's just fact), I'd say tell her that you'll go with her, afterwards tell her how you feel and have someone waiting in the wings for you after this is done. I know that this "date" for lack of better term isn't exactly a win for you, but doing it and then explaining that you don't like her like she likes you afterwards might soften the blow, it'll mean a lot to the chic, you won't be in deep for the next few years dealing with the aftershock, and you can save your friend from having to go ;D J/K!But then again, you could go and have a helluva lot of fun there and end up like me and end up being really good friends again. I know, fat  ing chance right! But at least this way you can avoid the added drama that comes with saying no flat out from the beginning and hopefully end her schoolgirl crush once and for all. Just whatever you do, make up your mind quick or else you'll be in worse than you think you are know, plus it'll give her the chance to find another person to go with since her two choices will have denied right off the bat. And, no I'm still not choosing sides here so don't get any ideas man... |
