I mean, obviously, there's a LOT of us on here that can't sleep. A lot of us toss and turn, looking at the clock, like me.
I'm starting to sound like one of those 3 AM infomercials. Anyway...
How do you get to sleep? Like, what helps you get your rest for the long day ahead?
Forgive me for sharing, but I usually have to down half a bottle of nyquil. Or if I'm really tired and don't need to take anything, the only way I can fall asleep is either with the TV on, or be next to someone special, which hasn't happened in a while.
I went with the latter tonight, as I'm crapout of luck.
Just figured I'd ask, since I know I'm not sleeping anytime soon. And 'god' forbid that 8AM shift I have on Sunday...Bloody hell.

i usually take natural sedative pills i have, and if they don't do the trick some pot. i was not smoking for a while though as i was sick, and i found that a glass of warm milk will do half as well

1 shot of Jack Daniels, 1 shot of Jim Beam, 1 shot of Jose Cuervo, 1 shot of vodka (your choice i use Smirnoff), 1 shot of Jager, followed by 2 Jager bombs.....finally 1 Corona taken 10 hours before you're suppose to wake. If you make it to the Corona and aren't at least sleepy then seek medical attention

I work the night shift so my problems sleeping come more from the weird hours I keep than anything else. There are some days I work 11p - 7a, days I work 7p-7a and days I work 11p-11a. I don't have a consistent bed time and a consistent time to get up so it really jacks me up. Keeping a regular schedule (when possible) works best for me.

I just turn my TV and lights off. Close my eyes and then wake up next morning.

I just reset my body clock. Usually i couldn't get to sleep, so one night i stayed up all night.
I went to bed at 11PM the next day and fell straight asleep Woke up at 8AM and fell to sleep at 11PM again.
I didn't stick to those exact times, but it helped me to get into a natrual sleeping cycle.

i listen to music if i cant sleep. i tried doing that in college in an effort to lull myself to sleep, but it had the exact opposite effect on me, mainly because its hard to relax when i subconciously analzye lyrics all the time. crapended up keeping me up, hah,

Dont take this the wrong way; 100 percent honestly, a long, thought out mas*urb*tion fantasy will drain your energy and get you to sleep quickly and also will boost confidence.

if your tv can do it, set your tv to turn off so when you fall asleep your tv will eventually go on stand by. horlicks (if you can get that in america) night nerse do some excercise before you go to bed to wear yourself out. have some vodka. go to the doctors.
thats all i can think of.
