Has anyone ever taken anything to one of those stores that will sell items on ebay for you? I've got some stuff I wouldn't mind getting rid of, but I'm a little hesitant to handle it myself because I'd rather not be responsible for any errors in mailing or such. But on the other hand, I'm not going to take anything to one of these stores if they'll just rip me off. Are their fees higher than the fees that ebay places on your items (I think I've heard that there are also fees assigned by PayPal as well?)? Do you get to decide how much the starting bid will be?
So basically my question is this: Which is less of a hassle: ebay itself or an ebay store?

I'm sure they charge you to be the middle man, but I have no idea what their fees are. I'm sure it varies from store to store. I'd just do it yourself.

ebay itsself is starting to become something I dont even want to go to. People are charging some crazy amounts and defeats the purpose of even going to ebay

I just sold my whole figure collection on eBay and made over a grand.
It was all pretty easy, aside from finding boxes and shipping things out individually. Don't do it all yourself unless you either:
1. Have a small amount of stuff you want to get rid of.
2. Have a lot of stuff, and a LOT of time on your hands. And patience.

I think you should do it yourself. Why pay someone to do something that you could easily do yourself?

In my opinion I think you should do it yourself.
Ebay is really easy once you get the hang of it.
I've been selling a lot of stuff lately and have pulled in a lot of cash.
Here are some tips that might be helpful.
First I'd go simple to save the most money, very rarely do you need your item listing to be in "bold" or "highlighted" in most cases a clear picture next to the listing (which is less than 75 cents) will do worlds more than any thing fancy.
I recommend using the usps website to accurately get a shipping price. If the shipping is too much people will look elsewhere.
Clear pictures, those really sell items, to save money I recommend combining pics of your items rather than uploading 3 different pics of the same thing. If you're putting up a lot of stuff every cent counts.
Browse auctions for similiar things and make sure that the price people are willing to pay is even worth putting up an auction.
If you have any question feel free to message me.

Do you need to have paypal to sell stuff on ebay? You don't have to use paypal, but you need to have a paypal account (whether you use it or not), and a valid credit card on file (so eBay can collect the fee for listing the items and such.) I use my dad's card. Say eBay's fee for listing all my items comes out to $10. I pay my dad ten bucks out of what I'm getting paid. Simple. If you've got any questions about selling stuff on there, PM me or something.

it. I'll sell this stuff on my own. I've looked into it, and it looks like it's easier than I expected. Plus, I think I'll be able to make more money selling it on my own rather than taking them to a store.

Yeah selling it on your own is a better option. It allows you to be more in control of everything and it already costs you to list an item let alone paying someone to seel for you.
