ok guys, so I'm getting my first tattoo and it's going on the side of my neck. The tattoo is going to be the phrase catch-as-catch-can. I like the meaning behind it (by any means necessary), and think it would look cool. Anyway I can't figure out how I want it to look, so I'm leaving that up to you. I'm getting the tat in 10 days and I'm hoping one of you can come up with a cool design for me. You don't win any money, but I think it's the ultimate compliment for me to put your art on my body for the rest of my life. Hopefully this isn't against the rules, I look forward to seeing what creative things you can come up with. P.S. Don't let this thread go off topic, I don't give two shits what you think of tattoos, me, etc... If you're not going to contribute stay the  away. |

I still do not get the appeal of scarring oneself for life, nor have I had anyone even try to explain the logic behind it to me.

They're great to look at, some of them tell a story, and you can come up with something that's totally unique. It's art. I think the only way you can "blemish" yourself is if you get inked with something you haven't thought over very well. Or just getting something positively generic, like a skull, or an anarchy symbol. It THOSE tats that you'll regret. And you'll get the crapbeat out of you around here for making a mockery of body art. |

it'll hurt like a bitch man! My tattooist had one done on his neck two nights before he tattooed me and it was red roar. But, if its something you really want, the pain will be nothing to you!

I would think about that tattoo, not that I am against it but it just would be a dumb tat in my eyes. Though if it has a deep meaning or something to you, or your life I say go ahead.

I'm not too sure how I would get it done. It would probably be much different than the way you would get it done. Since you are the one getting it, I'll leave that final decision up to you. Either way, I'm sure it'll look awesome in the end. Good luck.
By the way, don't let anyone's opinions on here get you down in any way. If you want to get the tattoo done, go for it. I've got two myself so far and have no regrets at all. I think they look great and I'm looking forward to getting a few more.

why are tattoos such a hot topic for bashing on here? if you're one of the members that doesn't approve of tattoos you don't have to say it in every single thread about them, you all say the exact same thing in all of them. we all get it, you think tattoos are for losers....move on & post in other threads.

People dont understand tattoos, your supposed to enjoy your skin while your in it, cause you only live once. So whatever someone picks, they pick. Tattoos are a beautfiul way of turning your body into art, I myself am working on a half sleeve right now and I could really care less how people feel about it.
