Yeah, shortly after winter break (Christmas break, you pussies), was when the finals started, and then the new semester started in the middle or towards the end of January.

Thats dumb, kids forgetting crapover Xmas break...poor little Kevin.
Obviously the reason Kevin hasnt responded back here is because he is diligently working on re-doing that paper, not out at the local record store grunging it up to some Everclear

Yup, he's probably got his glasses on right now as we speak boning up on photosynthesis or the EPR paradox listening to Bach.

One time we had this pop quiz that was worth 99.99% of our grade but the teacher lost them and we all failed.

Actually, I have a pretty funny true story. I was never good at doing assignments at home. As in I wouldn't do them. I'd much rather play some video game than school work. One assignment we had as part of our final my senior year in high school was to wright a book report of some sort. Naturally, I didn't do it. But as the teacher had passed out all of the sheets, I walked up to him with a confused look on my face saying "I, uh, didn't get mine back? Do you have it still?" His response was priceless. "Hmm. I do remember reading yours, and it was quite good as I recall, I'll look for it." I got a B on it and I never even did it. You'd think I'd feel like ****, but hey, here I am with a damn fine job.

I had a college professor who actually lost my calculus test, and gave me an A if I promised not to tell anyone, because he didn't want to stay late for me to re-take it.

Yeah, I got several sympathy grades late in high school, because my mom was in the hospital all the time, and I was working a lot to pay the bills. Teachers are usually pretty awesome actually. Now that I am dating again too, teachers are nice targets.

I made friends with most of them, thats how I got through high school...my GPA was 1.1....yah that is right 1.1 which is like an F+ but because everyone liked me they knew I was going through issues or what not and passed me.
In college, the key is to take the same teachers, and get them to like you....easy B's right there

I had a situation like yours. Last year, we had a paper due before finals for English. My teacher asked me if I had it. I said I didn't. I later looked on the website our school has that shows our grades, and she gave me a 95.
