Yeah, as most people know, I'm up at the most intellectually- disabled hours of the night. I woke up at 5pm today. Ugh... So, I go back to sleep around 2 am or so, and I woke up at 4. I've got my first class of the semester (community college) today at noon. Then work from 6 to midnight. It's gonna be a tough day. Anyone else starting college this week? in' sucks...

Well I'm not starting college, but I had a hell of a time trying to get to sleep too. I got probably an hour and a half of sleep. It was no good.

Maybe I'll try to hit the hay again.
After all, today's just a photography class. How hard could it be, right?

Yeah, man. I've been experiencing the same sleeping trouble, but worse. I always develop a strange sleep pattern during vacation, but this time I've been up to almost 6 AM every morning just on the computer (pointless) and watching Fresh Prince re-runs. LOL. It's really stupid, but last night I pulled an all-nighter, so that by the time tonight rolls around, I'll be good and tired from being awake and all the shoveling I'm going to have to do today. Ugh. I start my second semester as a sophomore in college on Wednesday, but I don't have class 'til 2:30. Oh, and I'm actually excited about goin back to school. That's the thing.. when you're in a major that you enjoy, you don't have to wake up every morning dreading class, and I also can't wait to see some of my out-of-state friends that I haven't seen all month.

Why do you sleep all morning/afternoon, and woke up at late afternoon? That does affect to your sleep pattern. That why you can't sleep.

I slept almost all Saturday since I've been sick. I swear medicated sleep is the best.

I slept almost all Saturday since I've been sick. I swear medicated sleep is the best. That it is, that it is...Tylenol PM, nyquil, and Sonata (when we had it) always got me to sleep. Oh, and I noticed someone say something about being on the comp all night, while watching Fresh Prince re-runs. And I'd like to acknowledge that, because that is the exact same thing I do. My brother...Five up top.

Im not in college, but its hell trying to sleep. I go to sleep at about 4, wake up at around 1 PM. And it takes probably 2 hours each night of me tossing and turning to finally sleep.

Go to your room, turn off the lights, all of them if you have a night light, and lay down. Try it at night, that away if there are lights in your room from windows, it will not disturb you. Soon enough you will go to sleep.

I have the same problem. I stay up til like, 8am sometimes, then sleep til 5. I can't help it, I can't fall asleep any earlier. Once I start up classes again next week i'll be forced to get on a normal sleeping schedule so i'm not too worried.

Hexus is fairly right in saying that you should look at the ceiling. I heard a while ago that what you should do if you can't get to sleep, is try to stay awake. What you do is just try and keep your eyes open for as long as possible and fight the urge to close them until you can bear it no longer. I think it has something to do with reverse psychology.
