Do you believe the world will end in 2012?

The world could end tomorrow, even today, for all we know. What if the Earth's core ever become overheated for whatever reason and suddenly exploded? We'd all be ed to hell and back.

That's the reason why I don't believe the world will end in 2012, I believe it could end anytime.

No. What would make the world end? The sun bursting into the earth? I mean c'mon, nothing would make it end.

Good point, it also didnt end on 6/6/06. But i dont think it will end during anyone's time period on here.

12-22-2012 was the date that the mayans completely stoped making their calendar. And the Mayans have been known for predicting every future event correctly. I have also learned a lot of catholics believe in the whole thing as well, (including my stepdad) Im baptist but dont believe in this hocus pocus.

I think too many people are getting this phony religion stuff to their heads. As far as I know the only reason people read the bible is to give them helpful advice, but it gets misconstrued into an unnecessary judgement of the world.

As for me, i can see many reasons the world could end in four years. Some you may agree with, some not.

The conflicting religions and holy wars, governments giving in to the terrorists.
Prices of living getting so high and many homeless people result.
Age ratings making youth more and more of a minority, no transition, will be a huge jump for the new generation.
Lack of ganja legalisation and it is about time they realised alcohol is more dangerous and has unneeded effects.
Our governments being bullied into destroying all their heritage to make room for immigrants who shouldn't be here (can be linked to terrorism)
Chavs and benefits, , their children brain damaged and unable to reproduce because of the amount the parents drink during sex, eventually none of the youth will be working thus, companies closing, end of economy, financial apocalypse etc.
Stupid world leaders trying to do stuff that does not help anyone, especially regarding schools.
Political correctness- i don't expect complete Britishness if i went to live in Pakistan for instance.
Westboro Baptist Church are left free, yet harmless drug dealers constantly arrested.
Emo music is at it's height of popularity and is constantly played in shops to make the buyers feel suicidal so they kill themselves and the shopkeepers make a profit for achieving their goals.

I saw this the other night on the History Channel. It won't end, even the people that studied the MAyan culture believe it will not end at all.

I believe the bible says the world will end in fire. Look at california's fire it took along time to put it out. Global Warming will eventually get so bad that a fire will be starte3d and not able to be put out. It could be lightning or humans that start the fire or it could be started by god. I have to admit that I am not sure it will end that soon. I believe we won't see it coming. It could be anytime wether today, tommorrow or in a million years. I do believe something big will happen soon. Aliens could show up, a major antichrist could be born, or a black hole could double in size. For as much as we know Orang Pendek could enslave the Indonesians and team with Bigfoot and the Yeti to enslave the rest of us.
