Giuliani cleaned it up and bloomberg took over. No. Rudy's term ended Dec. 31 2001. Bloomberg took over and has been mayor ever since. You cannot say that the lower murder rate was Giuliani's.

I wish Huckabee wasn't such a nut.
One one hand, he says something, and i am like...YEAH!
On the other hand, he says something else...and I am like...WTF?

yeah hillary and mccain are a lot closer than obama and mccain. Well, not really. I didn't say they agreed on a load of subjects. They just have more things in common as far as beliefs than Barack and McCain. But this goes unnoticed by many people. These things are small and minute. Hillary is fiery b*tch and if Obama does not get the nom I will vote for her. I would vote for Elmo to keep a warmongering psycho(every GOP candidate) out of office. I don't think McCain(god bless him for what he went through in Nam)has the mental capabilities for a progressive run as presidency he's old and set in his ways("crazy"). He is not a candidate to change this country.

www.democrats.org/a/2007/09/giuliani_takes.phpIn the Aug. 20, 2007 edition of The New Yorker magazine, Giuliani makes the claim that he turned around New York's crime trend. But violent crime in New York actually began falling three years before Giuliani became mayor in 1994, and property crime started falling four years before. Under Giuliani, the decline in crime rates sure picked up speed: After falling about 12 percent from 1990 to 1993, violent crime dropped 56 percent over the next eight years. But most big cities, and the nation as a whole, followed a similar pattern: A slow fall beginning around 1990 or 1991, followed by a sharp drop over the next decade. Giuliani may have helped push New York’s crime rate down, but "turn it around"? Not quite. The trend had started without him.

He went after quality of life crimes which helped lower crime. For New York mayors seeking re-election, crime can be a decisive issue. David N. Dinkins lost re-election to Mr. Giuliani as the city was struggling to cope with the murderous legacy of the crack epidemic. Mr. Giuliani, in turn, easily won a second term in 1997 on the basis of a sharp drop in crime. www.nytimes.com/2005/10/05/nyregion/metrocampaigns/05crime.html

Giuliani lowered crime in NYC Giuliani did nothing and i mean nothing for NYC, the man was out of state when 9/11 happend he flew back in a day later moved crapthen flew out agian. He didnt clean up crime, he was to scared to deal with the mafia, and gangs so he just said he would. As much as i hate to say it Bloomberg did a much better job then Giuliani

It's a shame because I was leaning towards Edwards for a while. I really like him. Oh well, I decided to stick with Obama awhile ago. I even volunteered for his campaign in Iowa. I hated making phone calls to people who were obviously sick of us calling and freezing my ass off going door to door, but it was worth it. If he wins the nomination, it would be even more worth it.

I honestly believe that America is a lot more racist and sexist than most people will admit. Because of this, I do not believe that Obama or Clinton will win. 100% agreed

Well, in theory, if Obama wins, then the vice president is going to be the most important vice president in history.
