Alright, so im not the one to come to a forum, especially WF for advice on this. But Il give it a shot cause I dont know if im being a dick or if its normal. My best friend is friends with my girlfriend. I was talking to her on the phone last night and she said "im hanging out with "bestfriendsnamehere" on wednesday" so im like. . .uhm cool. now i trust her 100%, but even though he is my best friend, i know what he does, he tends to not care about other people as much as himself, so i have a feeling he will either be a) really flirty, or b) make a move.
like, I am sick with strep throat, and I probably wont be able to go, so they will be alone, in his basement =/
I dont want to tell her "no you cant go" because im not like that. Is it okay to be jealous?

It's not ok to be jealous... but you can always play the sick I need company thing and call a bunch of times. That'll set your mind at ease.

I think it's kind of normal to be jealous in this situation. Personally, for me, I would never go and hang out with my boyfriends best friend alone. That's just...weird to me.

Almost everybody makes it out to be a bad thing when you get jealous over something like that. Me, I would be wondering what's going on, that she has to chill with a dude by himself without you around. That crapirks me SO bad, and I've found out a lot of things because of situations like this.

On a side note...
Everytime that's happened to me, I ended up finding out she was interested in more than one guy either during or after the relationship.
I've only had two girlfriends that stayed faithful, and they KNEW not to chill with a guy without me. And I did the same with the opposite sex. That's just the way it should work.
But, a lot of girls are hard-headed, they think/say they know what they want without really knowing, and they think it's okay to get away with just about anything.
I got tired of dealing with craplike that, so I just ended a relationship two days ago.

Ask if you can come along. If they say no then you should def. be worried.

I just read further into, um...You. You're 22 years of age. If she and your friend are at least 20 or over... She's either REALLY mature, and knows not to dick around, even if horn-dog makes a move. Or, she's in an old habit that won't ing die at this point. You're talking to the ghost of christmas past, btw. I seen TOO much shit.

See, it all really depends on what extent of jealousy you feel.
If for example, she smiles at a waiter wile you two are eating out and you find yourself about to toss your chair at him.....UNHEATHY.
But if your in the position your in and you find yourself pissed and jealous....well frankly anybody who replies and says they wouldn't be jealous/suspicious are either completly lying or really don't get what your saying.
(I'm gonna try to cut this down as short as possible because it's very long and confusing)
2 years ago a new kid showed up in class and nobody really...."warmed up to him", I had been in his place a few years ago, so I hung out with the kid, showed him the ropes of our school, yada yada.
Here we sit two years later, and he's.....know....around school, very well, unfortunatly only a small handfull of people really really like him. His father showed up and started teaching, so he has alot of...."pull" around school, he's from Canada, and he always preaches about how sicking America is and how out government is, yada yada.(He get's it all of ir from his dad).
Last Summer he took a very very stong liking to the principals daughter, and I took a very big intrest in one of her really close friends. Well in an attempt to gain info on how to hook up, he started talking to the girl I liked, which was fine....
Now, since then the girl I like has basically become a "backup" plan for him, since they're so so so close now, and she's liked him at one point, he liked her at one point.
The thing is, we started arguing one day, and suddenly they(him and the girl I liked) became best friends. Before that I liked another girl, whom he made it a personal goal to get as close to as possible and rub it in my face.
And this year a new girl showed up that every guy basically feel over themselfs for, but she only really liked me....sure enough he talks to her ever day now as much as he possibly can...
I still feel for the girl from the Summer, and it drives me crazy when he purposly passes notes to her every day nearly, and honestly, she has feelings for me, but he tells her all this things about me that really really put her off and confuses her...
What I do to cope is just play it off....see if your friend likes a girl, if he does....give him a taste of his own medicine, don't let either of them know it bugs you...unless it gets really bad, if you think you should step in and say something to either of them, you need to before it screws you and your girls relationship all up.

You may want to change your profile, then. It says '22'. But, if you guys are all young, I would seriously question her, but not interrogate.

It is dangerous to let any man get too close to your significant other. Nothing good can come of it. I learned the hard way.

I've been there sort of and all I'm going to say is that there's nothing wrong with a little pessimism and concern. Don't be controlling about it or anything, just make sure it doesn't evolve into anything other than friendship. I know a few people who were good friends with members of the opposite sex and it wasn't anything more, but I also know a few people who got more and more distant with their partner until it came to an end. It all depends on the person in question. She could very well be totally fine and faithful - strong enough to resist the tricks guys make.

for a start i had strep throat and i really really feel sorry for you. if you have it anythink like i did you gota be in agony!! hope you get better soon.
as for that situation id feel the same.probs best not to talk to her about being worried otherwise you will look real paranoid. have a word with your friend about it.just tell him how much you like her and stuff.if he still trys it on he really is scum!

I would be upset. I wouldn't want someone I'm seeing hanging out at my best friend's house alone.

I learned the hard way. so true...there's almost always an underlying motive. if my girl told me she was going to hang out with my friend by herself i'd be VERY suspicious. it wouldn't happen tho cuz that's a weird thing to do & she wouldn't do that.
