In a recent thread a person claimed wearing eyeliner and ripping your jeans is making a statement. I for one idolize Kurt Cobain for what he did to music and for Nirvana. Now please some one tell me does liking Nirvana make you have to make a statement to the simple minded? Is there really any reason at all for it besides being a attention whore? Discuss.

Discuss. my jeans are ripped because im carless i wear eyeliner because it symbolizes my fatigue i like kurt cobain because he stood for morals and ethics and like me was a dork who just wanted to have a laugh. that simple- im into symbolism- certain colors mean certain moods or thoughts to me, thats my dress code on any given day. i dont idolize cobain, i simply can just relate him, those are the people im drawn to. bret hart is my hero- cobain is sumone i feel kinship with. hmmmmmm this is the third thread bashing me   |

Inspired a lot of bands. , it's one of the 90's bands where not giving a crapbecame THE shit. They're right up there with Pantera, Sex Pistols, The Ramones, Jimi Hendrix, Lennon, ALL of 'em had a voice, and changed something. If Hendrix never wailed so hard as to up the amps, would we even have bands like Nirvana today? Think about that. |

I'm sorry but if you need eye liner to show you are fatigued then you are truly not fatigued, and please don't fire back with its emotional fatigue, that would still have a physical affect on your appearance.

I fail to see the logic behind that, because I happen to be a person who truly likes music. I don't give a crapif it went mainstream, they sold out, millions of people follow it, whatever. If I like it, I like it.
