It's only being released on 360, Wii and PS3. Not according to TNA's website: "FACTS/FEATURES ON THE UPCOMING TNA VIDEO GAME: - Coming Spring 2008 for PlayStation 2 and 3, XBox 360 Live and the Nintendo Wii! "

but on the most recent interview with whoever works for who's making it (i don't know), they say it is on Xbox 360, PS2, PS3 and the Wii. i guess they would only make a big deal of the next gen versions

Why would they put it on the PS2? That's completely pointless and asinine.

The latest official game trailer only advertises 360, PS3 and Wii. Like stated before, the PS2 edition has been canned. The latest game trailer advertises the Wii, 360, and this logo: ...which, as we know, represents PlayStation. It doesn't specify a PS2-only game or a PS3-only game. As far as official info goes, it's still scheduled for PS2, and the logos at the end of the trailer don't clarify anything. If it ends up being canned for PS2, then those people will just have to step up to a newer system to play the game, obviously. --- And to answer Phenom, they'd release it on PS2 because it has probably ten times the amount of users than any one system out right now? Is it going to be a step down from even the Wii version? Sure, but it's a smart business move to make it available to the largest base possible.

Not only does this confirm the release date but it confirms PS2! On www.play.com, they have a release date for TNA iMPACT! on the wii, xbox 360, PS3 and PS2 for 6/27.

I really hope they have canned the PS2 version as much as I loved my PS2 its ing ridiculous that people still expect the latest games to be released for it. Its a last gen machine I am not saying it wasn't a great machine but fact is its time has come. The 360 has been out for over 2 years now so theres no excuse for people who are into games to say they can not afford a next gen system. After my rant I can get to the point of my post lol. I found these on the nest these are new pics one of which shows a CAW, If there not new I apologize. Credit to wrestlegames for the pics.

Why would they put it on the PS2? That's completely pointless and asinine. Why not? I barely play video games, but this is one that I would pick up. I don't expect the latest and greatest in games, but considering TNA needs all the support it can get, there is no reason not to release this on PS2. And considering the PS2 is still going pretty strong, it would be stupid not to release this on PS2. At this point in time I feel like buying a new system is a colossal waste of money, so therefore I am hoping that this game comes out on PS2.

At this point in time I feel like buying a new system is a colossal waste of money, so therefore I am hoping that this game comes out on PS2. TNA does need all the support it can get, so buy a 360 and pay $10 extra. I don't have a 360, but I plan to get one when I have enough money after a computer. Mostly for TNA, I'd rather play the best possible version of the game than just a version of it. If you have a 360 you might become more inclined to play more games that are on it. I use my PS2 still to play WK(2), FPR, and the Kingdom Hearts games out of boredom, but I would rather have them all on 360 than PS2. I like have custom soundtracks, makes it more enjoyable.

WrestleGames.Net Goes one on one With Midway! By B1G T Published: January 9, 2008
Hey Scott,
Lets get straight into this, here are a few questions the fans really want to be answered!
1. What weapons will be in the game and will you beable to perform moves with and on them?
A. Just as in TNA Wrestling, weapons will be a big part of the game. Obviously tables and chairs will be involved and we have come up with some awesome mini-games to go along with these weapons. We'll have more details in the coming months.
2. What Wrestlers can you confirm will be in the game beside the odvious ones such as sting, angle, christian, abyss and Rhyno?
A. With the game's release not scheduled until next spring, we are not releasing the full roster as of yet. However, we can promise you that a majority of your favorite TNA superstars will be in the game.
3. Will the King of The Mountain Match be in the game? If so how will this work with only 4 people in the ring?
A. At this point, we are still adding in content and different match styles. King of the Mountain is definitely on our radar. We will have a final list of match types in 2008.
4. Will there be alternate attires in the game? If so can you name a few alternate attires?
A. We will have some attire changes. Since we started on this project, AJ Styles has actually become a heel so we are making sure to incorporate AJ the heel in the game. We will continue to follow the TNA story lines and make changes as time allows.
5. What "create-a" modes will be in the game besides Create a Wrestler
A. This is our first iteration of TNA IMPACT! The Video Game so our focus has been on the gameplay and making sure we deliver the BEST in the ring wrestling experience ever. Create a wrestler is in the game and is a great feature. We will have more details on our create a wrestler feature early next year.
6. I Know its still early but how smart is the A.I in the game at this stage
A. The trick of AI is to make it look and behave like a human being and we are getting very close. This is something we'll be refining right up until the game is finished.
7. In season mode/Story Mode will there be branching storylines ala No Mercy
A. Our story in story mode will keep gamers guessing with some cool twists but the game will not feature any branching. We wanted to create a great experience that players will be able to remember.
*. Regarding Season Mode in TNA Impact - TNA IMPACT! will not feature a season mode, instead we focused on the story mode.
