this game. Seriously. This has to be the most frustrating game I've ever played, outside WM21 perhaps. "You can reverse any more" No....YOU can reverse any move. I'm stuck with this ****ty CAW that doesn't even have knee pads because the pants I chose "won't allow them", has the worst moves you could possibly give any wrestler, and frankly looks like ****. Play at your favorite TNA superstar? More like play a character that looks similar to your favorite wrestler (minus some obvious wrist tape) but has pretty much the same moves as every else. And don't even get me started on the stamina meter and trying to get out a pin. I'd rather play Superman 64 then even try to play this POS again. I have it a good 2 hour try, watched every training video, and even attempted all the match styles.....and I really feel like I was robbed of every single second I spent TRYING to play this game. TNA iNCOMPLETE is more like it. Thank you! I think I had more fun with this game trying to figure out the controls when I first rented it. Playing against an incredibly hard "boss" is not fun, especially in a wrestling game. Once I finally got the controls, I was doing pretty much the exact same thing in every match because that's the only way I could really win. I just couldn't relax and actually try to put on a wrestling match in this game, I felt like I was trying my hardest to avoid my opponent by using really cheap tactics (striking the hell out of them, using chairs) just so I can actually win. This is a good fighting game, but not wrestling.

Yeah...I did three singles matches against Rhyno, and literally didn't get a single move off. This definitely didn't live up to the hype in my opinion. Maybe it's really good, but I get too pissed off being pinned off of a hip toss to find out.

It seems addictive, and I love the jobbers you can unlock. What's ed up though is that MCMG are hard to beat in ing Exhibition mode let alone Story.

I'm having the same problem with the 25 wins and the Shark Boy achievement. The Shark Boy achievement you have to beat every unlockable like Lenny, Benny, Afro Thunder, Abyss, Senshi, Don West, Mike Tenay, ect. no way Mike Tenay can be included in the achievement since hes a download code.

I love the people who hate it that just can't get the hang of it. I ing love the game personally, and have little trouble it doing reversals. Same it took me a while but I stook to it and now love the controls. Only problem is when SVR 09 comes out it's going to be hard to get used to because the controls will be diffrent from this.

After a bit of playing, heres my review of what I've seen so far.
A lot of people are complaining about difficulty, but why? Isn't that part of why most of us are unfulfulled with most wrestling games, especially SvR? On the highest difficulty in SvR I could still win within 2 or 3 minutes so t oget a challenge is a nice change of pace for me.
I like the difficulty of the game. To me, it adds excitement and urgency to a match which is fun and challenging. Being challenged is fun ... theres no reason to complain just because you can't get the hang of it or you arent practicing the game enough to do well.
There's only a few major cons about this game I could comment on.
One is the CAW. It's absolutely pathetic and is nearly just non-existent. You can't wear knee pads with long pants and if you wear long tights, you can't see the boots. There are like 4 or 5 decals to put on your outfits ... it's pretty dismal, I have to admit. I knew the CAW would be basic compared to most wrestling games, but I never imagined it would be this limited. I would never use it unless I had to for story mode.
Another con is, of course, the lack of moves. It does kind of suck that most wrestlers share nearly every move except for a few. It definitely takes away from the uniqueness of playing as each wrestler, but ... this still isnt the end of the world to me since the gameplay is overal fun.
My final complaint has to do with how long a downed wrestler spends on the mat and the no-selling of damage. It's very odd and unrealistic that a wrestler, when his body is all red (very injured) still is able to get to his feet just as quickly as he could when the match just began. There is no difference in action between a very injured and a very fresh wrestler. No body part damage is sold, the wrestlers don't slow down or hunch over and they don't stay down long at all ... even if you're basically slaughtering them.
Besides that ,the game is great. The graphics rock, and the the gameplay is fun. I love the submission system and the way the selling of the moves look. I also like how the mechanics are and that you don't often end up with a bunch of wrestlers haplessly punching into the air and missing like in SvR. There are definite things to be touched up, but overall a great game, especially with an engine built from scratch.

I always enjoy the SVR games, I'm really looking forward to this years release, especially with the create a finisher mode. But this TNA game is holding me over very, very well. I haven't even thought about the controls, lol. You're right though, I'll probably break out '08 a week before the release just to pick up the basic controls again. Edit: Glad to see you liked the game Walter F.! I completely agree with everything you said, CAW mode was and is utterly crap - and I would love a better grapple system with more moves in the next release. Selling is a must as well, but even with the flaws, it's still a good game.

SVR is too easy and season modes always the same this game is fast paced action,I love the diffuculty though because it keeps you chalanged theirs no point of a game if you are not chanlanged thats the point of the word "game". I really have high props to midway for this it's their 1st wrestling game and they excuted it prefectly TNA took a risk hiring MIDWAY games tomake the game but it payed off. Surprisely the graphics are really god unlike most games made by midway. Only problem is the moves are to un-relastic (the amount of air they get) Also how they get up after every move. The commentry gets REALLY repetive. I ggive the game a 8.5/10
