that just sounds like a reason to Create a wrestler IMHO. Kinda like the start of skate where you get hit by a bus and the plastic surgeon tells you to model what you want to look like. Re-establishing identity = creating moveset, entrance etc.

i think its a great idea, because people complained when a big superstar was in the back shaking hands with people as if he just got their and was a rookie. But now people will probably bitch because you cant use a real wrestler in season, people can never be satisfied.

You can clone Superstars wrestlers into CAW slots--like how you could in No Mercy.

I actually like the storyline, It sounds like something TNA would have. And it's something no previous WWE game has done. So it will be new.

Sounds like a great idea for Story Mode. It reminds me of the storyline of Def Jam: Fight for NY, where detectives ask for the description of the thug (the created character) and they use artist sketches to form the face.
Even though it'll be weird not having a referee in the matches, it's great that Midway is taking the time to perfect the gameplay and fun factor, before they get comfortable to fill in all the bells and whistles.
I can't wait for this game come June...
