This is the complete evolution of The Ultimate Warrior
WWF SUPERSTARS
Warriors first appearance in a WWF game was a pretty decent one Tecnos the developers behind this game were actually well know in Japan and usually provided great graphics. Considering this game is from the late 80's it still holds up well today.
WRESTLEMANIA CHALLENGE
What was special from the games stand point was that it was the first WWF game where Hogan was not the feature star it was Warrior. The game still to this day IMO has the best graphics of any NES game. All the characters looked the same but have little differences so you can tell who they all are.
WWF WRESTLEFEST
Excellent tecnos really took a big step forward from WWF superstars not only did he look good but he also had all his mannerisms as well. I would say Warrior was probably the best model in the game.
WWF WRESTLEMANIA
Ocean soft wears take on wrestling was a horrible game but it had better graphics than any of acclaims 2d wrestling titles. Warrior looked pretty good. I always felt the Ocean WM characters had more in common with wrestlefest than acclaims games,
WWF SUPERSTARS
Excellent they really did a great job here and some developers could provide good graphics out of the old game boy such as the case here. I think because it is not to ambitious is what makes it work so well.
WWF EUROPEAN RAMPAGE
Oceans second WWF tilte some how not only has worse gameplay than there WM title but also looks worse one of if not the worst Warrior model out there,
SUPER WRESTLEMANIA
You can tell who he is but theres just something weird about his face pain if it looks more like the batman sign that warriors logo.
WWF IN YOUR HOUSE
This was Warriors first appearance in a game for half a decade. he is digitized and while I always felt that IYH had worse graphics than its predecessor WM the arcade game Warrior was one of the better digitized models.
SMACKDOWN HERE COMES THE PAIN
Many people know that Warrior was supposed to be a legend in SD HCTP there is far better pics out there of the warrior and I know I have some in a old gamesmaster mag that had a preview of the game. off the top of my head I think he was rated at either 91 or 92. Hogan was also dropped from the game. You can not really see it from this pic but they did a great job on his character model a shame he wanted no part in it. Also I have heard you can play as him via gameshark but I have never actually seen this up and running,
SHOWDOWN LEGENDS OF WRESTLING
he has 4 attires in this game all of which are pretty sweet. my favorite by far is the green trunks do not know why I just always loved that attire. He also has his WM6 attire with chest paint. While his attires look good I think his face flat out sucks. I want to add this was his first appearance in a game in nearly 10 years.
So there you have it Warrior really needs to be in a WWE game as a legend. Perhaps if THQ or who ever gets the WWE license down the line offers him a separate deal like what jakks do maybe we will. However as it stands I do not think we will see him in a WWE game for a long time. Rumor has it Throwback who have the rights to the LOW series may make another game but whether or not Warrior would be a part of it we would have to wait and see.
