Found Basic 5 today at WalMart (Raleigh on New Hope Church Rd.). Sadly, all they had was:
Cena x3
Batista x2
Melina x1
I picked up a Cena. Already have the rest minus Hurricane & Batista. Almost picked up Melina for my niece, but figured I will probably see it again.
They also had Superstar Matchups HBK - first time seeing that figure in stores.
Looks like WalMart in Holly Springs is no longer carrying Elites. What a bunch of horsesh*t. I blame Santino & Cody Rhodes.

I have not seen a 1/1000 anywhere since series two and survivor series. Im dying for elite series 5 to hit. well one figure anyway, but ive talked about rey enough. But i'm chomping at the bit for series 7 two packs. The Punk is flawless! What all have you found as far as the 1/1000's go? I agree with the 2 pack series 7 Punk/Gallows as it is a must have for me too (a fellow Punk fan)! I do hope they paint Punk's kickers (and add some more details to Gallow's attire) though as the figure looks a little bare the way it is. Have you heard anything on a possible release date (to retail stores) other than "Fall 2010"? I want to pick the first one up that I find (given the package is in good shape)! |

Does anyone have some Classic Superstars protective cases that they would be willing to get rid of? I am looking for the style that Ringside Collectibles sold. There was a seller on Ebay from Charlotte that had some, but they are not listed anymore, so I was hoping someone around here may have some.

Just FYI Kohls in Winston has had two packs series 5 for the past two weeks. The aisle is kinda a mess. They all have Elimination Chamber. There a little overpriced but they have a buy one- get one half off going on this weekend.

Geez, I went to New Hope Church Rd Walmart to get Cena series 5...And all 3 were GONE! If anyone sees them pop up again, let me know. He's the only one I want from the series. Thanx guys.

Nice finds juice! Do you remember who all is in this series? I heard about this set, but I have no clue who is in it (I can't believe you found them already)! By the way, did you find the 1/1000 Melina and Mickie James at retail/out in the wild or did you buy them offline?
Well I done some figure hunting and hit almost every store from here to Belmont, NC today/tonight on my way to and from the indy show that I mentioned a while back. Various leftovers at most places, with little to report. Some of the Wal-Marts have Legends in as well as the Kmart in Salisbury (they had everyone but Austin; I finally seen Hawk there). I seen some of the new TNA figures as I spotted the whole set of Deluxe Impact 1 at the Salisbury KMart minus Suicide...HOWEVER, someone opened all but AJ which is an awful looking figure in the first place (or at least this one was). The Target in Kannapolis had Samoa Joe from the series and that was it for TNA. Still no sign of the two packs or Ruthless Impact 1 (the only series I plan to collect, I'm only after RI 1 Suicide out of all the first series of TNA figures). I seen the little UFC figures at a couple of Wal-Marts if anyone is interested. Nothing else to note off the top of my head.
The indy show was great and I got to meet both The Barbarian and Reid Flair. The Barbarian was super nice and gladly signed the Classic Superstars 27 figure that I brought with me. I'm not sure if this is out there or not, but he said that Mattel is planning on releasing a Legends two pack of him and the Warlord sometime in the future. That may be old news, but definitely the first time I have heard it.

Thanks! Hornswaggle will be the only 1/1000 from that series.
There must be a good chance of getting a 1/1000 from WWEShop when you order a basic figure as I have seen a lot of that lately. I wonder if I can do that and get a 1/1000 Dolph Ziggler?

Went back toi Lenoir Wal-Mart today.No more 1/1000s but some new 2 packs. Steamboat/Jericho.DX, and the Colons.Not alot of knock your socks off findings, but for Lenoir Wal-Mart.Its some progress,lol.

Anyone going to the Ring of Honor Tag Wars (at least I think that is what it is called) show or the Lucha Libre USA show this weekend (Saturday) (both are going 'head to head') in Charlotte? I would like to go to the Lucha Libre show, but won't be able to make it this time. Interesting that both promotions are running in the same city at the same time. Who do you think will draw more fans? I would say Ring of Honor wins this match.

Ugh Im getting tired of figure hunting. Went all over The Triangle today and didn't find poope. I have been burnt out with figure hunting since Mattel started throwing out figures like crazy. All these sets within such a small time frame really makes figure hunting and collecting rather burdensome. This is one of the reasons why I have not been searching as much within the last couple of months as in the past; it's just too tiring and expensive at this rate... Priceless! However, I did score a 1/1000 Basic Series 6 Ted DiBiase (Jr.) at my local Wal-Mart earlier tonight! It is number 680. This is the first 1/1000 that I have found at my local Wal-Mart and was shocked when I seen it! Decent looking figure of his current attire, although I think it would have been better if the tights were another color. I am content though... Series 6 is the best Basic single pack set of figures yet from Mattel in my opinion! Everyone in the series looks great! I am not a fan of Kelly's head scan, but the attire is nice none the less. If anyone is still waiting to pick up a Drew McIntyre figure, then you should pick up the Series 6 figure as it looks better than the Elimination Chamber figure. I am done with this series unless I find a 1/1000 Kelly Kelly. I still need to find 1/1000's of Basic 4 Dolph Ziggler, Elimination Chamber Drew McIntyre and Basic 5 R-Truth to be caught up with everyone that I want belted figures of... |

Found legends series 2 at target in Durham but they only had Snuka and Jake. Only want kamala and probably funk. Nothing at TRU and I had $5 off coupon which expires today. Stop at k-mart and they had HOF series but only SCSA, Slaughter, and I think Dusty. They had all Elite 5 which I pass and EG M$M but too expensive for me.

My local Wal-Mart has yet to even get in Basic 5, as their most recent set was Elimination Chamber until they got Basic 6 in. I have only seen one or two Wal-Mart stores with Basic 5 all together and have yet to see the Best of 2010 series anywhere. I thought that those two series would have hit heavy before Basic 6 would make it out. This Mattel distribution is rediculous... I have yet to see any signs of Legends 2 around here. I don't care to pick up anyone out of that series anyway. |
