OFFICIAL NORTH CAROLINA FINDINGS

Did anyone go to the Legendary movie event at Mission Valley Cinema in Raleigh tonight? R-Truth was there to sign autographs if you bought a ticket to see the movie. He was advertised to be there from 7-10 pm; however I didn't show up until 7:15 (the movie had already started). I missed the first 15 minutes of the movie, but thought it was cool that Truth was in there watching the movie with us! After it ended, he signed autographs out in the lobby and was very friendly to everyone! I got my Marvel TNA (series 2?) figure that I brought with me signed by him! I also left with a mini Legendary movie poster (unsigned)!

I barely made it to this event as I didn't find out about it until the last minute. I learned about it from a dirt sheet, then seen it on wwe.com. They done a few of these at the same time around the country for Legendary openings featuring various WWE stars.

I must say, the movie was far better than I expected and is one of the best movies that I have watched this year. If it gets a better run in theaters, it might make some decent money and maybe win a few awards. It is a must see for any wrestling or movie fan in my opinion.

As far as figure hunting goes, I did some before and after the event. I mainly only hit stores between here and Burlington as that is the only stores I knew along the route. I seen Legends 2 at the Target in Burlington, but I didn't pay attention to who all they had. I seen leftovers of the Best of Basic 2010 figures (only John Cena and Batista) at the Wal-Mart stores in Jamestown and Burlington; which is a first for me. I did stop at one store in Raleigh (only store I saw in the area) and that was the Kmart down the road from NC State University. They had a few Basic 3 leftovers and everyone from Elite 5. Surprisingly they also had Basic 2 2-packs Carlito/Primo (x2) and Finlay/Hornswoggle along with a Tough Talking Undertaker (arm band things) all on clearance. I forgot how much they were, but I noticed the 'regular price' on the Tough Talker was $26! The Legends Hall of Fame figures are definitely going to shelf warm as there was a ton of each wrestler at every Kmart I stopped at. I didn't pick up anything on this trip.

All in all, a very exhausting trip as it was two hours both ways for me with heavy traffic on the way up, not to mention the figure hunting I did. At least I did get to meet R-Truth though!

Went to the TRU in Jacksonville, NC & found absolutely nothing I truly wanted. Had NO Elites, its starting to get kind of irritating.

It takes 10-15 min. from Holly Springs. I take US1 to get there.

I haven't really found anything good at that Kmart. No 1/1000's there. Kmart's in general are no good around here from my experiences. Best thing's I have found at Kmart were EG Ted Dibiase and EG Piper (in Cary).

I forgot to mention that roughly 20-30 people (at best) attended the Legendary movie event. Poor attendance due to WWE not advertising this event a little sooner...

Here is some local signings that I plan on attending in the next couple months:

The next event that I will be attending will be this show in Maiden, NC coming up this weekend: www.midatlanticwrestling.com/macw_event.html. I am mainly going in order to meet both Buff Bagwell and Rick Steiner. For you Raleigh area collectors, you can see that they will be running another show Halloween weekend in Durham. I doubt I will attend that show unless they bring in a huge name as I have commitments that weekend. I thought I would pass this along since this is a promotion that looks to bring in popular names for most of their shows. This will be the first time I attend a show for this promotion.

I hope to attend two CWF Mid-Atlantic shows in Burlington, NC next month. They are bringing in Mike Quackenbush on October 2 and El Generico on October 22. CWF almost always puts on solid shows as I have attended a number of them over the past two years.

I figured you were referring to this signing. That is about all the information that I know about this signing. It is free and I suggest that you get there early as this was the same Kmart that held the Sgt. Slaughter signing. I was originally going to attend this one, but decided not to with the Bagwell/Steiner signing only two days away from this event. I would like to get the Classic Superstars Ric Flair/Barry Windham 2-pack signed along with my Ruthless Aggression (20?) figure, but I am going to pass as it looks as if he is under some sort of deal with Pepsi and Kmart and I imagine he will be making other Kmart appearances around the state in the near future. Bad decision on their part to have this on a Thursday night; why not do it on the weekend? What other information do you need about it?

It shouldn't be any problem I would think. There were people getting their picture taken with Sgt. Slaughter and that was done with the same staff. I don't recall ever going to any signing and not getting the chance to get a picture with the featured talent.

I found some of Legends series 2 at Pinehurst's Walmart. Just Funk, Kamala, and Jake I think.

Found Basic 6 @ Garner Station WalMart in Raleigh. Picked up a Kelly Kelly 1/1000 and The Miz. They had everybody except Drew Mcyntire.

Picked up the Rey Mysterio TRU Exclusive 6-pack at TRU in Cary as well.
