Excellent!
At a WalMart by me there's 2 people who use WalMart Layaway as their stockroom-if a new set of figures comes out, they don't buy them, they put them on layaway, and when they sell them online, they go back and buy them.
This is EXCELLENT NEWS. Personally, layaway for figures is ridiculous

Good, if you are so poor you have to put figs on layaway then you don't need them, and like the post above me says, some shady people just use it for storage so good, that makes me happy they're getting rid of it.

Yeah. My wife works at Wal Mart and was telling me about this a few weeks ago. She said they got the thing yesterday as well stating that it will no longer be available. Personally, I think it's only going to hurt Wal Mart in the long run. Especially during the Christmas season. I don't use layaway but it's going to put a damper on a lot of people including the company

I don't use layaway but it's going to put a damper on a lot of people including the company People put things on layaway that they can't afford but other people can, taking away from their opportunity to purchase it. By doing this Wal-mart sells and gets new inventory in quicker. A layaway plan is for the convenience of the consumer not the company. This is better for Wal-Mart and collectors. Putting a wrestling figure on layaway is ridiculous.

I work at Wal-Mart as well, and we just lose money on layaway because half of the the time the people don't pick them up. This will actually save the company money and maybe I will be able to get a full 40 hours.

This is stupid. Maybe they will relaize that when christmas comes around and parents are shopping for their kids and need to put stuff on layaway that it's stupid. I mean i'm always at my house and my mom wouldn't have anywhere to hid them or whatever so i don't see what i'm getting. This is the biggest load of crap i've evern heard.
