If I were you I wouldnt worry, that's the best TRU on Long Island-Lets see here....
When TRU Lake Grove got 1 case of PPV10,
TRU Carle Place got 6 cases of PPV10
When TRU Lake Grove got 2 cases of RA17
TRU Carle Place got 8 cases of RA17
In one shipment, Carle Place always gets multiple times of what Lake Grove & Bay Shore & Massapequa get in one shipment- so going by that logic:
Bay Shore got 3 Cases of RTWM22
Lake Grove got 3 Cases of RTWM22
so Carle Place should be getting at least 9 cases.
I mean hell, remember how we were all (wel most of us) were searching hardcore for RA17, and when KB got em we cleaned them out with the quickness? That was only 2 1/2 weeks ago-it's crazy, I mean look at the way RA17 is warming shelves now at TRUs and KBs.

Also, congrats Jacklong! Seriously man, with all the figure hunting that you do, you definitely deserved it! I'm glad you found some Deluxe figures! I need an extra Orton, Angle and Batista. Maybe you should change your name back to Jacklong now.
Also, I'm still waiting for Adrenaline 16 to hit the Carle Place TRU. They cut down the figure section more than half way. They used to have the whole space, plus the little section next to it, as you turned the corner. Now the little section doesnt have WWE figs, and half of the WWE section has some different kind of figs there.

Thanks for the sentiment guys! Those damn DA figures! FINALLY !!! LOL RVD where'd you get 3 HBKsters? Online? Or did Huntington TRU finally restock? Man, now I finally got all the figures I wanted/needed-I'm still waiting for my AD4 Billy Gunn/Torrie Wilson 2pack-I got an AD1 Hardy coming in the mail-also got an RA Goldust on the way. As of right now-all I need is Johnny Stamboli-and I'm good. Still gotta order RA18 & CS9-but I'm gonna wait another week or so-that way the figs I got today will still be "new" to me, ya know. As far as retail figures go-I am complete. LOL. It sounds funny to say, but damn, what a feeling-no need to even think about a TRU or WalMart for a looooong time.  |

I went to the Carle Place TRU after my second class, as well as the Roosevelt Field Mall KB. Here is what they had. TRU, Carle Place, Long Island - Dam I love this TRU! THEY HAVE ROAD TO WRESTLEMANIA!!!!! It looks like they just put it out. They had the whole set there, except for the HBK as Hulk Hogan. I bought the last few of them. They do have everyone else though. That Angle fig is amazing, Benoit and Cena are kinda plain, Eddie looks decent, the Rey is another sweet Rey and the regular HBK looks great with the jeans mold. I bought 3 HBK as Hogan's. If anyone wants one, just PM and we can work something out. They also had a few Jakks belts. I saw a John Cena WWE Spinner, Regular United States, 2 RAW Tag Team, 1 Hardcore, 1 Winged Eagle and 1 Old School Intercontinental titles. I almost forgot this too. They had a bunch of Ruthless Aggression 17 there as well. I didnt look thru them though, my main concern was the RTWM. I would say about 2 or 3 full sets of RA17, maybe more. Same goes for the RTWM set. I was thinking of buying the Rey and Guerrero, but I will probably wait until later on to get it. No RTWM double packs either. KB, Roosevelt Field Mall, Long Island - I only went there to see if the PPV10 Batista I hid was still there. To my surprise, it actually was! So I ended up getting him. They had a lot of TNA figures there. I remember seeing some PPV10 OJ's and JBL's there, but nothing special. I'm so surprised to see how fast the PPV10 actually went. Those are the only two places I stopped. The cashier at TRU was like, "Wow, we got new ones." When he saw my figs. He then went onto say how he remembered when Hulk Hogan did something with the A-Team back in the day. Of course, I dont remember it since I wasnt watching back then. Anyway, He thanked me for coming to there TRU, and I told him thats its really the best TRU on Long Island and they always have good stuff here. I told him the Huntington TRU is horrible and hasnt restocked in a while. He said he thanks me for taking the long drive there, and then I told him I go to Hofstra, so he understood. Anyway, Road to WrestleMania is there! So go get them! I guess you didnt see me post this, since you were typing up your report. Carle Place is the best TRU on Long Island, which is exactly what I told the cashier. I might not have anymore available anymore. I'm probably keeping one for myself. Then I think ajrobles51 is getting one of them, and then the third one is on Ebay. I dont know. Right now I'm in the process of selling my MOC RA figures, just to mainly collect the Classic Superstars line. I will keep you updated though. I may not be selling all of them, just certain figures I wouldnt mind selling. |

I absolutely agree-and Isaid it earlier too...Carle Place TRU has long been THE best TRU on Long Island-I remember in the BCA days they used to get everything there first, and get lots of them. Love that store man-f'n great.
I got 3 HBK as Hogans too-1 for loose, 1 for Hogan headswap, and 1 for MOC.
If you wanna get rid of your Stamboli please let me know.

Picked up Angle and Benoit RTWM today at the Holbrook TRU. They were the only figures of that line there (wonder where all the others went... cough Bruce... cough white haired slob cough). That's perfectly fine with me, since they were the only two I wanted.
Has anyone seen a Billy Graham for cheap (maybe at that KB sale)? I'm looking to take the legs off of that one, buy an extra green tights exclusive, and put those legs on, to make an accurate title win Graham. The CS 7 has red boots, while he had yellow on when he beat Bruno, which the exclusive has.
I agree with you guys about the Carle Place TRU. Always MORE of things, since it's such a busy, centralized location. Last October, I found a fresh case of CSTT 3 there when it was still really new and broke it open and got what I needed. This was after going to 6 other TRU's that day I believe (I know I'm cuckoo for Classics). While I was getting my Master's at Adelphi, I was there Fall 2002 - Fall 2004 at many different points. They would have everything. One time, they had about 7 or 8 good McFarlane variants on one endcap!!! This was like McFarlane 6 I believe with Favre in Falcons, Emmitt variant, Steven Davis Panthers, Rich Gannon Chiefs, Bledsoe variant, etc. This was right before Christmas (03 I think) and it helped pay for some of my Christmas gifts, which was great, since I was so poor (I usually don't buy to resell - especially Star Wars or Classics, but McFarlane, those loons can afford it... lol).
Then a few months later, the same McFarlane setup, Peppers, Pennington, Ward, Shockey, and Carr variants, Portis, and the Sehorn chase all at once. Unbelievable! I don't think or know of McFarlane releasing full cases of variants (I only collect them on occasion), but if not, then this was just fresh cases put out with all the variants.
I know for a fact (my friend worked there until November) that Holbrook will not let a Marvel Legends or McFarlane variant even hit the floor (the guys on the trucks pull them ALL and buy them), so it's really interesting about Carle Place. I found CS1 there when it first came out and only bought Andre & Warrior at the time (real good move), but they had SO SO many of every guy. They just get in so much more because of their volume and the fact that they move product.
When I bought CSTT3 there, I took the box off the pallet, cut it with my keys, took out 2 Austin/Pipers and 1 Samoans (which I had purchased earlier in the day), and walked up to the register with the box (perfect for storing my MOC CSTT sets) and 2 Bushwackers and 1 Samoans. A MANAGER called me over to the service desk and rang me up. He was like, oh wow the Bushwackers. You collect these? I didn't even know these were in! I said yeah they're awesome, can I have the box? He said sure... and he was like let me get you a big bag to cover the box (it was raining). So that's a MANAGER at Carle Place. It's just a superior TRU.

Btw, if anyone is at a Wal*Mart and finds Cena's Spinner Kids Belt in a box(not plastic clamshell case), let me know, hide it, or pick it up and I'll meet up with someone to trade for it or buy it. Only thing I ask it you get a mint box, as I need it MIMB, thanks guys... ;D

I was there around 11:30ish. Also, they didnt have just "some" RA17, they had like 2 or 3 full sets of it. I looked for London with the tassles, but couldnt find it. Did you see how they shrunk down the WWE figure section? Thats ridiculous. They could fit so much more figures there if they just left it the way they had it. I wanna get a job there some day, and not at the one in Huntington. Thats an awesome story about the CSTT3 with the box. They let you take the box AND gave u a big bag for it! Thats awesome. Seriously, the workers at TRU know these old guys. I wouldnt be surprised if they started collecting the Classic Superstars line at all. Also, since there was a little story, I just wanna tell a little figure story. Ok, about 2 years ago, I had tickets to go to WrestleMania XX (paid about $500 for 2 tickets off of Ebay. I saved up about $250 for the ticket, so I really wanted to go.) So anyway, usually every Sunday, while on the way back from church, my mom lets me go into the Huntington TRU. Obviously, I dont go in there as much, seeing as how the Carle Place TRU kicks ass. Anyway, I think I found a nice figure I needed, and went to the register to pay for it. The guy scanned it, and then said, "Are you going to watch WrestleMania tonight?" Of course, I had no idea he was gonna ask me this, but I told him, "Actually, I'm going to WrestleMania. I need to get out of here and catch a train to the city." He probably said something like, "O, thats awesome!" Its just cool how you find wrestling fans in the weirdest places. I dont think I have seen that kid again, but its just cool to know that wrestling fans are all around you, hiding in the shadows. |

Well, today was pretty interesting. I got a call early this morning that a client needed to meet with me. So I had to go out to Hauppauge. Since my son was sick I called in my mother-in -law to watch him and made my way to my meeting. While I was out there I decided to stop by the Islandia shopping center. I stopped at Wal-Mart and picked up DA HHH and Orton. Then I stopped at the KB and picked up RA 15 Mark Jindrak for $4.99, I only wanted him for the green pads so $5 was no problem. Remembering that you guys had mentioned that RTWM was at Carle Place I took a chance at stopping by the Massapequa TRU. I didn't expect anythign at all, but I figured there was no harm in trying. Lo and behold there they were......two full cases of RTWM and RA 17 had just been put out. I got that funny feeling in my stomach when you find the figures you really wanted and I picked up Angle, Eddie, Rey, and both HBK's! YAY! Since I couldn't believe my luck I figured I would try my luck in KB at the Roosevelt field mall. SO I go in and there are almost no WWE figures, but there were a ton of TNA figures. I looked through them and found two Jeff Jarrett's and picked up one. The NWA belt fits perfectly around the Cruiser torso so I can't wait to get my CS9 Flair! It's funny how things work out...... |
