I will say again... Just because someone is of African heritage...does not mean they have really dark skin! MVP has a much lighter skin tone than that. Layla's second figure & once again, she's very dark skinned, even though the actual woman is lighter than some of the white Divas!! Just watch the show JAKKS....it will tell you what colour skin people have. JAKKS - "It says here Laya is from Morocco!! We'd best give her the African skin"No Jakks...just look at the woman & you'd see that's a bad idea.  |

Um, why is everyone so focused on the fact that MVP is too black and not that he is dressed like a harlem globetrotter? With a  ing basketball? That set is and was always destined to be horrible. I want Cody, but he looks really generic. And Dusty is nowhere near as fat as he should be. The bullrope and cowbell are amazing though. The accessories out shine the figures in this set. I'm angry that they only *slightly* changed Layla (by adding the stuff to her boobs), and this would be the first RA diva figure where they just made up an outfit that they never actually wore. I wish they would have at least given her bare arms. Ill get it just because I buy every diva figure and this will warm shelves to no end. Damnit that Miz is cool though. Re release #3 of that Triple H? No thanks. I hope Jakks employees are bludgeoned to death and/or sodomized with AD24/RA30/RA32 HHHs. Umaga.......too fat, scratch that, WAY too fat. The new scan looks god awful too. He looks like Chucky's fat samoan cousin. Orton is the same thing as all of the other Ortons we have gotten. He hasn't changed his look or tights and the scan isn't even that great. His last scan was so perfect I don't think it could be topped unless he changed his look dramatically. I spit in the face of the people who put Carlito in this lineup, especially with all of the PPV14 and RA25s still hanging out. What has Carlito done since his feud with Flair almost a year ago? Being Hornswoggles whipping boy, jobbing on Heat and getting a ed up character killing haircut gets you a figure? It is a good representation of him, but that doesn't mean I won't get sick of looking at it on every peg come across. "But he has a goatee!" Undertaker looks good, he doesn't get released too much and he flies off the shelves so I don't have to look at him long. Morrison is the standout figure and the only one ill be purchasing. In a set like this though, that's not saying much. I like the scan and white was a good attire choice. Now we need an IE Morrison with fur coat/shades. Jakks needs to pick it up a little bit. I'm losing interest and fast...........hopefully some new lineups will be announced soon and we can get new or otherwise visually stimulating figures like Santino Michelle McCool Edgeheads Big Daddy V Mickie James (retail) Ashley (retail) And not the same bargain bin garbage I've been looking at for the last 6 months. |

RA32 Morrison and aD29 Rhodes will be it for me.
Maybe Miz/Layla (since both look better) and Orton but the rest is just crap. MVP looks terrible.

Well there you go. I'm glad she didn't actually wear the skirt as I was going to display her without it anyway. Still, you'd think they'd have found something more different to her ECW figure. I really like the Rhodes 2-pack. *** Wait...if you look at her puppies, you will see it is not the same outfit as that in your link. |

MY THEORY ON THE OVERLY-BLACK MVP...
Jakks were planning another Best Of Rocky series or two but poor sales meant they got cancelled, it looks to me like they had a load of black boxer parts ready made (perhaps Apollo Creed or Clubber Lang or Mike Tyson) it was probably just cheaper to make the heads and torsos for the MVPs and use up the black boxer parts at the same time, that would explain the boxer's shorts aswell when they have two longer short molds that would've been much better. Personally I'm not too bothered if that cut back allowed TWO whole new accessories for this series. The Rhodes set is incredible, I'm easily impressed but that bull rope will be a real asset to my display.
