I am excited about the announcements of Kaufman and Tatanka. Sad to see Shane moved to #17, but I am glad he wasnt cancelled. I hope Bossman can be added to #18 or #19.
Mazz should be VERY happy (as I am), about Andy Kaufman being added

The Tatanka signing to a person who takes their figures out of the package is not that big a deal. But to a MOC collector, this signing is AWESOME!!! I can't wait.
The Kaufman signing, not that great, but he is a big part of the Memphis history.
Bossman will be a great figure..............

Although they don't interest me much personally, these are two good signings.
Shane being moved is a bit upsetting. I hope Jeremy lets us know what the deal is. I'd like to see him with a regular removable Shane O Mac jersey and a removable X-Punk jersey on the side. It would have been nice to see him in a X-Punk jersey in the same series as X-Pac.

Not that big of news, but I have been wanting a WrestleMania IX-era Tatanka. It would also be cool to see an Andy Kaufman figure. I don't know if I'd be that interested in one, though. Maybe a 2-pack with Lawler, since I don't have his CS figure yet.
I'm not upset about moving Shane's figure back a series. As long as we get one I will be happy. If delaying the figure means that we will get a better figure than if it were released in CS 16, then that's fine. If the figure turns out crappy, then that's not cool.
I'm still waiting for figures of Macho Man, Owen, Ricky Steamboat, and...Sting (hey, it could happen) to be announced.

I love the announcement of Kaufman.
I can't believe people are badmouthing that signing.
I mean, even before hogan became big, Kaufman being slapped by Lawler was on David Letterman.
He was a big part of wrestling becoming big for the first time. And he's certainly the reason that Memphis wreslting was known.
I'm definitely looking forward to his figure.

The fact that Jakks has already thought of signing him, contacted the powers-that-be, and confirmed him for a figure before they even contact those who control Big Bossman's estate is appalling. And would I buy a Kaufman/Lawler pack? Hell yeah! But I'd also buy a Bam Bam/LT set, or a Ray Charles Wrestlemania 2 figure. We don't need him, but he'd be a nice addition to the line. But a Kaufman figure before Bossman, Eddie Gilbert, or Ricky Steamboat, not to mention the "unattainables" like Savage and Owen? No way. |
