Well, I've never bought a full series of any RA/AD line...I just buy figures of the wrestlers I like. But there are certain wrestlers that I pretty much do/did buy every figure of, because those were/are the modern wrestlers I actually find/found entertaining. So yes I have Triple H, Benoit, Angle, Jericho, Regal & Flair collections.

I just buy what I like. I buy some wrestlers just to play with, but not doubles. I only have one Cena, one Batista, one Umaga, so on. I buy every classic HBK and Bret because they're my favorites as well as any Hall fig made cuz he's one of my favorites. I only buy the current HBK's that are good because a lot of them are lacklustre. I can't wait for RA 29.

Your saying because we buy John Cena's figures he's still the champ? I dont think cause kids buy his toys is a reason he's been champ so long. It's because the wwe feels he's the top superstar on RAW and he's SO over with most of the fans.

Why do you make such a big problem what we buy?

I did this with all of the Star Wars figures that were released from 1996 until 2004. I just finished selling all of these figures. I was lucky to get $2 a pece for these. When you toss in all the vehilces, beasts and playsets I bought, you could say that I took a bath on these things something fierce. For those of you that may be collecting these figs with the hope of them gaining value, I would not hold your breath. While there may be a few figures here and there that will hold/gain value, very few will get you any return on investment at all. There will always be something new and exciting that will come along and these figures will still be stitting in boxes with no one wanting to buy them. I now only purchase the figures that mean something to me. Too bad it took me 11 years to learn that lesson

I buy repaints because I like to update figures as I go along.
Except when it comes to CS and Unmatched Fury, I buy them all if possible!

can someone plz tell me why on earth do (most of) u buy entire serieses, tons of repaints and rerealeses, and tons of figs of wrestlers you don't even like??? i mean seriosly, lets say you hate cena, but you still buy 2-3 figs of him, it's just give WWE more motivation of keeping his ing title raine, and jakks keep repainting tham over and over and over and over. and lets say you love edge. really love him. why do you need 5-6 figs of his same rated R fig with a diffrent painting??? i mean i could understand one of his minestry area, one of edge and christian area, one of the face edge\befor rated R edge, and 2 from the rated R area, one DA and one of the best RAs... that is reasnable, but why do you need 10 diffrent rated r attires? I don't actually. I only buy the figures of the wrestlers I like.

can someone plz tell me why on earth does darkvegeta not no how too spelle? luke at his post seriosly somewon needz too uze the spelle chex.
As for your question, personally I don't collect all of Jakks figs. I only collect the people I'm interested in. I do however collect all of TNA's figs. Their roster is small enough that it makes collecting everything pretty simple. Although I don't have all the variants or the entire best of series.

I now only purchase the figures that mean something to me. Too bad it took me 11 years to learn that lesson That's me too. I have never really collected for resale, but I still have tons of stuff I don't want. Unfortunately, it's barely worth the time to actually try to sell them. I did buy 6 Blue Blazers at one time for resale. They had just taken them out of the case and put them out. I can't even remember if Owen had died yet. They were still rare though, and I had just paid $40 for one on the internet. I thought I was going to make a few hundred off of my $30 investment. Boy was I wrong. I ended up selling a couple, trading a couple, and gave one or two away. I maybe got a little more out of it than I originally paid for, but it sure wasn't worth the trouble of making deals. Collect who you want, buy 50 Cena's if you want, but just enjoy your hobby. It's very rare to find a toy of anything that will make you any kind of real money. You can work one shift at Burger King and make more than you would selling a toy.

This guy does have a point, though. I think some people turn this healthy hobby into a bizarre obsession. However, there's nothing wrong with getting multiples of guys you like. I have about 5 RA RVD figures because I love his attire style. Same deal for old school HBK. Some collectors have favorites that they enjoy collecting almost exclusively. The point where it becomes unhealthy is when you find yourself buying sets you hate just to have them.

I try to avoid buying repeats unless they are reasonable updates or are a favourite.

I agree with Elliot's comment on the first page.
Also, LOL at the word 'newb' being used so much.

I buy one figure of each character. i only buy new stars, and sometimes new scans if the new scan is better.
