Share some stories if you were almost, or maybe a bigger, dummy than me tonight!
Wednesday night is a big toy run night for me since a lot of retail stores in my area get their trucks and put out stock. I recently moved, and so now I have to drive at least 50min.-1hr. to get into the first hot spot area where a lot of those stores are. So I leave tonight and hit the first store, which is about 45 minutes away. I find a few figs that I was surprised to see. So I pick them up, look around some more, and then I go to check out. The girl tells me if I spend $25, I get $5 off. So I grab some candy. I go to take out my wallet...NO F'N WALLET! I forgot it at home! I used my credit card earlier to buy something online and forgot to put my wallet back where I keep it. It's now 8:15pm, and I wouldn't be able to make it roundtrip. So she says she'll hold them for me until tomorrow. I even talked to the manager to make sure it was cool, and she said it was. I don't want to say what figs they were because I don't want to jinx it if I go there tomorrow and someone put them back on the shelf. If they hold them and I get them tomorrow, I'll post pics. And it's not that damn RA28 1/500 Vince I've been crying like a little girl for.
So anyone ever miss out on anything because of something like this?

That happened to me when AD 2 came out. I went to the store and see them so I go to pay and realize I don't have my ing wallet so I ask the guy to hold it and he says ok, now I only live 5 minutes away so I run back home to get my wallet. When I go back the guy tells me he never held it and there it is, AD 2 Stamboli & Chavo in some little fat kids hand. I was pissed off but what can you do. I found it again a few weeks later.

I went to KB on a Thursday and had no money with me. The figs were buy one, get one 50% off. I go back the next morning to buy them and the sale had ended. Luckliy the manager recognized me from the day before and honored the deal anyway.

I have done that with groceries before but not with figs. I would have much rather it been my man dolls than two hundred dollars worth of perishable food stuffs that some poor sap had to put back though. I felt like an ass. Now I always make sure to stick the wallet right back in the pocket.

I had sold a ton of stuff on ebay and went to the post office to ship, well my total was well over $100 so i go for the wallet! Nope it wasnt there i look at the postal worker and am like sorry and the other 12 people in line are just looking at me. So he says he would have to take off all of my packages 1 by 1 then hes says hey your in here all the time just bring me the cash back in no problem. Man i was shiting my self from then on im allways checking for my wallet.

Jesse, I did that one time when I drove the hour up to Middletown...And it was worse as I had decided to hold off on getting gas locally and wait until I was at Middletown...Needless to say I had to have my father-in-Law drive up with my wallet so I could get gas to get home. PJ

No, because I'm not a moron and leave my wallet at home. Especially if I'm going someplace more than 10 minutes from me.

The worst I ever did was leave the wallet in my car, then you get to look like an idiot twice. Once when you realize it and again when you come back in blushing.

I remember back when Pillman's first JAKKS figure was released in the STOMP series, it was one of my most wanted at the time. Almost every weekend, I'd walk three-tenths of a mile down to a local shopping center just to get excersize and hang around.
One particular day, I checked out the toy aisle of the local (now-defunct) Caldor store, and hidden way back on the pegs, was one STOMP Pillman. I was elated. I went into my pocket, and found...that I had left my wallet in my nightstand drawer back at the house. I debated back and forth whether or not I should run all the way home, just to grab my wallet and run back again.
Well, I did it. I sprinted out of the store, up the very steep, narrow, and busy road back to my house. I tore down our driveway, through the door, up the stairs to my room, grabbed my wallet and instantly repeated my route the other way. Crossing the road to the shopping center, I heard a car slam on its brakes to avaid hitting me, but I didn't look back to check. Too focused. I went back into Caldor, found the Pillman again, and paid. It was worth it. It may not be of much value, but it's still a piece of my MOC collection.
