They'll renew.
The deal is too sweet for both of them.
JAKKS would have a crap of a time finding another company that will pump out THAT many figures for them....I'm sure ToyBiz would tell them to piss off.
JAKKS & WWE will be together for a loooooong time.

Given all of the bad press that WWE has been receiving lately (steroids, Benoit, etc.) , I doubt a company like Hasbro or Mattel would want to be associated with WWE anytime soon, let alone put up huge bucks to outbid Jakks for the license. I think they'll stay together for a while.

also on the same note I'm not sure anyone wants to be associated with mattel right now.
I can only hope someone new picks up the liscence so we can start all over again and get new HHH, stone cold, rock, batista, and john cena figures...
...and if you can't smell sarcasm I got two words for ya.

What I think is funny is how people who only just started collecting in the jakks era think its a outrage that someone else will make figures.. Well what about us fans who have collected since the 80's. I would welcome a change jakks has gone as far as they are willing to so why not see what someone else can do. The WWE really could not care less what the figures look like if a new company can put together a great proposal then of course they will sign

Haha, what a joke. All of you saying "I'll stop collecting if Jakks loses the licensing" but in the next post you say how horrible Jakks "quality control" and design team are. Clearly not many people over the age of 18 in here. That or most of you have alzheimers and forget what you just posted. Inbreds.

the thing wasn't that they were loosing it. IT was that the contract was expirng. J. said that he hopes to renue it. But we'll have to just wait and see.

I just want to see CS go on for a long time to come, past CS 25. JAKKS is very lazy and there is no way they're going to sign everyone that should be signed in the next two years. We need Macho Man, Miss Elizabeth, Ricky Steamboat, Mr. Fuji, Dynamite Kid, Adrian Adonis, J.J. Dillon, Ole Anderson, Texas Tornado, Hercules, Haku, Jesse Ventura, Wendi Richter, etc. There are a lot of A-List stars that need to be signed instead of the B and C stars JAKKS has been announcing recently. In order to get all these guys signed we need to give JAKKS more time. CS is a cash cow for them so as long as they have the license they'll keep it going which will put the pressure on them to do more actual work to get these guys signed.

I don't think a company would care if WWE was associated with them. Money talks and CS is a big toy seller. If they do lose their license it will probably only get better.

I think they'll stay together for a while. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the reason Hasbro didn't renew their WWF (at the time) contract was because of the big 1994 steroid scandal? On topic, there are certain guys I'd like to see made before the CS lines ends. However, seeing the CS line end wouldn't be the end of the world. Don't get me wrong, I love collecting the CS line, but it would mean more money for my pockets. If the Jakks wasn't able to renew their WWE contract, Jakks may pursue doing an International CS Line. I apologize as I've said this before, just hoping that Jeremy or someone from Jakks reads it and act upon it.

BUT, they also have been providing us with one style of figure for years. i don't want to start collecting a new style of figure. But i think Jakks QC need some work done on it.

What I think is funny is how people who only just started collecting in the jakks era think its a outrage that someone else will make figures.. Well what about us fans who have collected since the 80's. I would welcome a change jakks has gone as far as they are willing to so why not see what someone else can do. The WWE really could not care less what the figures look like if a new company can put together a great proposal then of course they will sign I grew up watching my uncles collect LJN's, which I kind of liked. I collected Hasbros up until now and saw every line progress. True, going from BCA to TTL to RA were big steps, but Hasbro to BCA was such a huge step. And not to offend anything pre-RA, but honestly, the figures keep getting better. So, basically, Jakks losing the license would sort of be a welcomed change for me. I know I'm probably in the minority on this one, but seriously. If Jakks renews, then it becomes the same old crapfor another however many years. If Jakks doesn't renew, I'd be interested to see who took over instead and what kind of figures they made. Plus, once the RA line ends I'm pretty much done. I'm getting too old and I'm collecting too many other things (Plus my interest in WWE on a whole is dwindling), so once RA goes it's time for me to hang it up as well. I'm sure I'll buy an occasional figure here and there, especially if someone new takes over, but, you know. I'm trying to have my RA collection be the biggest collection of individual figures (i.e. no repaints, etc.) And so far, I'm doing pretty good with customs and all I'm at, like, near 250 I think.
