wow well until my paycheck starts to go up, im going to have to be more discriminate with the figures I buy, rather than just sayin "ah the hell with it its only 8 bucks" Exactly. Now instead of buying a slightly different repaint of a figure, I'll be picking and choosing more carefully which ones I really need. Plus, we must all still remember sales. I hardly pay retail for figures right now any way. TRU has clearance and sales going on most of the time. KB loves the 2/$10 sale (Though that may go up to 2/$12 or something, but still reasonable) and when I picked up AD 23 Target had them on sale at the time for $10! There's like this little chain that goes: Prices go up, Sales go down, Numbers stay the same (for supply) Clearance/sales go up Target already had a sale to kick out hundreds of those Spirit Squad, Mexicools and Gymini sets. No doubt they'll do the same when the next strand of losers comes out. Yeah, I'm looking at you AD 28. And has anyone else been buying from any of the Big Two retail stores lately? (Target and Wal-Mart) I tend to find that TRU gets in figures first, and then KB, then the other two. So I usually just pick them up when I see them at TRU or KB. I wonder if that hurts sales at all. Or that there are, like, a hundred Joey Styles and Elijah Burkes at my Wal-Marts and Targets right now. I don't know. Just think about things. I'm buying less and less at non-toy stores so maybe they're mad they're not doing the sales they once did. |

yo are complaining about figs for 10 bucks??? the avrege price of RA fig here in israel is 20 bucks, and 24-25 for DA...

I still get my CS for 9.99 and my RAs for 7.99. My Target still hasn't changed their prices. Anyone else in Maryland?

why do they think DA is sellin badly, I mean the last 3 sets are all shelfwarmers mostly i mean their sales are goin down if they raise the price of the good figures. AD at like 16 bux aint good, that sucks, they are already 16 at my TRU thats with tax.

thats probably just the internet, cuz it is a new set, if it does happen, then we should all go on strike. Jeez the prices are already high enough for some painted plastic.

If the price goes up to $9.99, the amount of repaints Jakks releases should go down. I stress the word "should" since it likely won't happen. It'd be the smartest way to maintain sales I'd imagine.
I've quickly become a cherry picker buyer since the prices have gone up. I try to buy loose on Ebay, watch for sales at RSC, or trades on here.
What sucks is that our local Target's/TRU's refuse to put anything on sale, so the current shelfwarmers will surely see the same price hike. KayBee is the only store willing to drop figures down to $5, or do buy one get one free/50% off.

If in the UK we want new release RA's that have been US imported we have to pay $30. and $40 for AD.
and $80 for CS 3 packs, also $60 for CSTT and IE double packs.
So quit complaining.

Damn, if the price goes up to 9.99 for a damn RA then I'm done with them. They're 7.99 at my TRU wich is ok, but 3.99 is more realistic. Hell they cost a few cents to get made in China, so they should be a lot less.

This is why I go to the Flea Market in my area to buy figs. Mint RA'S are $2.00-$10.00 no tax. But I don't buy MOC from the guy because he fcukin rips you off big time. EX: DA 7 Sabu 20.00 RSC MSJ $75.00.

if the single figs are going to be $10, then I would expect the 2packs to be $18 or $19 now
