I think its because his then girlfriend Traci Brooks was involved in TNA's cookie-gate. Which was basically a video aired during TNA's second ppv of TNA talent welcoming WWE to Universal during the filming of the West side story Royal Rumble commercial.
WWE sent a cease and desist letter to TNA regarding that situation which involved Traci, Abyss, Konaan, Shane Douglas, Road Dogg and Ron Killings. You could clearly make out Rey Mysterio talking to them but first there is another guy who Road Dogg says hi to but it is unclear who it is.
