One good thing.. if they do loose the WWE license, then they could make all the people they couldn't while working with WWE.. Thats actually a really good point. Hmmm, here's hoping it does end in 2009, jakks can keep making classic wrestlers, which is what I mainly care about. Then they can make guys like Owen and Savage and still make others. WWE can't stop them from making wrestling. Just current WWE workers. I believe that was the motivation for the Classics Survey. We all know that they have enough guys signed already to run through the duration of the existing contract. That means, in my opinion, that Jakks is getting ready to doing wrestling figures after their relationship with WWE ends. After all, guys like Warrior and Honky Tonk Man are signed directly to Jakks anyway. |

i'm just courious where as it been reported that jakks is losing the wwe licsense? i mean has it been officially reported by the powers to be? or is this just some stupid rumor someone dumbass started?

I doubt the contract will end. Its worth quite a lot to WWE in their financial sector.

I just Hope Marvel Never takes over. The ink work`s already done! Hasbro has signed a contract taking over WWE toys in 2009 when Jakks contracts runs out. This has to do with some kind of lawsuit between Jakks and WWE I heard. |

Just to clarify a few things: 1) Jakks is NOT losing the license, the license contract will be up in 2009. This means that as of Jan 1, 2010, we may have another company making WWE action figures. 2) It is not up to Jakks to resign, it is up to WWE. If WWE can get a better deal with another company, they will go to them. Hasbro has rumored to be interested in getting WWE back, and I'm sure there are plenty of others. There is no doubt that Jakks wants to keep the WWE license, but if they don't give WWE what they want, WWE will dump them faster then they dumped all their extra Chris Benoit shirts. 3) This will not really be an issue for another 1 1/2 to 2 years. Generally, when a license switch is announced, it is around Toy Fair the year before the license goes into effect. Example: Hasbro announced at Toy Fair 2006 that starting in 2007 they have the sole toy license to the Marvel Comic Universe. Toybiz continued to put out Marvel product thru the rest of 2006, but in Jan of this year Hasbro Marvel stuff started to show in stores. |

if jakks is ending no more of wwe luckley hopefuly marvel will still make more OKay captain noob of the jober squad! You should probably think things through there tough guy. See when hasbro ended their agreement in the early 90's (93 i think) it was a long time beforw wwf figs were on shelves. I think it was until 95 or 96 when jakks came in (0r just toys with the bendies wich sucked) and picked things up again So unless you are looking forward to 2-4 years with out figs and want to have all new figs in mostlikely a crapier schale. Then i sugests you shut your mother luvin mouth, get on your knees and pray to the toy gods that jakks of malibu california and wwe continue the relationship of the greatest toy company sports entertainmnet team that ever exisisted. Chritisim is always good. But bitching and complaining like a bunch of ingrates will get you no where. I apologise if i offend anyone but as the over emotional wrestling fan that we all love and laugh at said "Thank you for saying what needed to be siad! I don't want to see another one of these!"
