Ok, well I over the weekend I went to 2 Toys R Us's, 1 KB Toys, and 1 Wal*Mart. OMG! Conbined, there must have been over one-hundred and fifty Deluxe Aggression action figures. Mainly, they consisted of DA 7 (Carlito, Mr. Kennedy, Sabu),8 (Gregory Helms, Johnny Nitro),9 (Kenny Dykstra, Jimmy Wang Yang) and 10 (Daivari, Daivary, Daivari). Now, these are clearly shelf-warmers. Most of the sets have already been sorted through and narrowed down to these rediculous shelf-warmers. My question is how the hell these stores are going to get rid of mainly all the Dykstra's and Daivari's? If they want to clearance one figure, they have to clearance the whole set (because they have the same SKU number). Now I know a lot of people would say "oh, the stores are stocking up for the Holiday Season". I understand that it may be part of it, but I mean seriously, do you think that moms are going out and picking up random action figures at more than $10 a piece? That's pretty expensive to be doing. Anyway, the Jake's and Jesse's are still piled high on the shelves, so if the moms buy anything, hopefully it will be the Gymini... Please discuss, this should get interesting...
Also, here is a list of current shelf-warmers:
-RA 24.5 Paul Heyman -ECW 2 Joey Styles -ECW 2 Elijah Burke -ECW 2 Balls Mahoney -AD 21 Jake and Jesse -AD 21 Mikey and Big Show -AD 22 SuperCrazy and Psycosis -AD 23 Elijah Burke and Sylvester Turkay -RA 24 Kenny -RA 25 Test -RA 26 William Regal -RA 27 Mr. Kennedy -RA 27 Chris Masters -RA 28 SuperCrazy -RA 28 Kenny Dykstra -RA 28 Miz -DA 7 Sabu -DA 7 Carlito -DA 7 Mr. Kennedy -DA 8 Gregory Helms -DA 9 Kenny Dykstra -DA 10 JBL -DA 10 Daivari -CS Fabulous Moolah -CS Arn Anderson -CS Mr. Perfect -CS Barry Windham -CS 1-2-3 Kid -UF Rob Van Dam -UF Sabu -UF Carlito -RG Rob Van Dam -RG Kurt Angle -Cyber Sunday Eric Bischoff -Cyber Sunday Carlito (If there are any I missed, please put in your post)
Discuss...

Here in the Lancaster, PA area, we've got a crapload of the Unmatched Fury figures, sets 2-4. The only one missing is Undertaker. As far as the DA figures go, we're pretty much in the same boat. Dykstra and and series 7 are everywhere. I'm kind of hoping Dykstra does get put on clearance, I need him to have the whole set. Anyway, I kind of wish stores would keep track of what isn't selling and ship it back to Jakks. Jakks could store the shelfwarmers in a warehouse and sell them at discount prices online. Just get them out of stores so there's room enough for the new figures. If Jesse and Jake didn't sell six months ago, I doubt (unless they'd be used for spare parts or a collector was waiting especially for them to go on discount,) that they'd sell for a few dollars cheaper.

Well around here UMF4 Kennedy is warming. Atleast 10 at TRU. Also CSTT6 and TT6 and those stupid backlash TTL figs at KB.

Personally...(scratches chin)...I think you have to much time on your hands. Who goes to four stores and does a WWE figure inventory count? I think you need a girl bro or maybe a new video game or something. I bet there will be plenty of parents going around and buying random figs for their sons. But it wont clear the 150 figs on the racks. All the stores will be getting new stuff for the holidays so relax.

They won't clearance them out. The holiday shopping season is about to hit...so they know the figure will be bought. They aren't worried.

here is whats shelf warming at my KB Toys (now my store is in the mall so its not as big as the other locations)
AD 2pack- Regal/Burchill (about 6-8) AD 2pack- Burke/Turk about 10 AD 2pack-Shelton/Haas about 8
RA 28 lots and lots of Kenny (everyone else sells ok) still a few Regals from RA 26?
ECW 2 about 12 Joey Styles and 10 Mike Knox 1 Burke thats it. Classics 15 4 Lugers 2 Tanks 1 DDP 1 Arn Anderson and I have more CS 15 on the way
Deluxe lots of Kenny, a few Helms, 1 Carlito 1 Kennedy. I have series 10 coming Wed.
I think Jakks should make the midcarders one out ever case like they do the divas. They can keep making Cena and Rey because they fly off the shelf.

I was in TRU last year and some lady comes up to me and asks me, Hey, Do you know about this stuff? So then i say, Yeah i know alot about it. So, Then she says, What do you think i should get my son who is starting to like wrestling? Then i showed her a few good figures. Then she sees the AD 18 Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch. She says, Thanks for your help, I got what i want now. I say, I dont think you should buy that, It's not a good set. She then says, My son will like it anyway. I then just browsed thorugh the racks and left. But boy, That mom just picked anything and left. So, I think the shelfwarmers will be gone anyway.

How come Miz is a shelf warmer? He is currently one of the hardest figs to find.
Also, its funny, pretty much all of the shelf warmers you mentioned, are the exact same here.

"Sorry all the Rey Mysterios were sold out, Timmy, I hope for Christmas instead you will enjoy this Spirit Squad Kenny figure!!"
Yeah. The holidays rule.
But more than just shelfwarmers, Jakks needs to do something about DA figures in general. I always see at least 20 or 30 DA figures in every store I go to that sells them. At first, they actually went off shelves pretty well. But now I still see Sabu sitting on pegs in places. I don't know why, but DA warms like crazy here and if this isn't the only place then maybe DA needs to cut back their shipments.

They'll eventually get bought up, they always do. My Wal-Mart has sold out of DA SS Kenny, it was shocking not seeing 15 of him there anymore.

Maybe he's hard to find by you, but here in the states in the NY/NJ area all of RA28 and all of ECW series 2 are clogging the pegs of every TRU & Target I hit.
